Work trip turned into an unexpected highlight—this stay was even better than a vacation. Located right in the heart of downtown, everything is within easy reach, whether by foot or public transit. The view from the room of the city skyline at night is absolutely breathtaking and something you shouldn’t miss. I was disappointed I couldn’t use the pool due to the cooler weather, but it’s already on my list to come back just for that. The atmosphere, comfort, and convenience make this place stand out. Highly recommend for both business travelers and those looking for a relaxing urban escape.
Fenix Hotel Hollywood
Staying at Fenix Hotel Hollywood was a solid experience overall. While most hotels in the U.S. don’t provide slippers—so I regretted not bringing my own—the real highlight here is having a washer and dryer right in the room. That’s a game-changer when traveling, especially for longer stays or if you need to freshen up your clothes. The location is excellent—just about 200 meters from the Walk of Fame, making it super easy to explore nearby attractions on foot or by public transit. However, I should mention that the area isn’t very safe at night, so we kept both front and back doors locked throughout our stay. It’s not ideal for late-night strolls, but the convenience and central spot make up for it. If you value practicality, good access, and a comfortable base in Hollywood, this hotel is definitely worth considering.

Absolutely avoid this listing! We booked for March 2025, only to find out the advertised location is completely false. After booking, we were given a different address with no explanation provided. We waited over 48 hours for a response but received nothing. Eventually, we had to contact the platform we booked through just to request a full refund. I also reported the misleading address information. This experience felt borderline fraudulent—completely unacceptable. Don’t waste your time or money on this one.

The hotel itself is spotless, with a clean and modern vibe throughout. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going the extra mile to make sure guests felt comfortable. It’s clear they care about guest experience. For anyone visiting Los Angeles, this hotel offers the perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and charm. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hollywood Walk of Fame
This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’m even more impressed this time around. The location is unbeatable—walking distance to Hollywood Boulevard makes exploring the area so convenient. Parking is manageable, and taxis are readily available. It’s also very close to Universal Studios, which is a huge plus for those planning to visit. Just note that housekeeping needs to be requested in advance. The Indian cleaning staff member is incredibly kind and thorough—the room was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. There’s a 7-Eleven right downstairs, perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or groceries. I brought a small pot to make tea and coffee, which made self-catering easy and fun. One thing to mention: there’s a small group of homeless individuals who often stay near the entrance. I try to leave some food each night, and if you’re staying here, please be respectful and understanding—they’re part of the neighborhood too. A little kindness goes a long way.
InterContinental - Los Angeles Downtown
First day in LA, and staying at this InterContinental was an absolute surprise! I was assigned to the 61st floor with a stunning city view—so much better than expected. The location is perfect: walking distance to convenience stores and fast food spots, and public transit is just around the corner. Sadly, my tight schedule meant I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but the amenities throughout the hotel are top-notch. What really stood out was the value for money—this price for a high-floor room with such great views? Definitely worth it. A small downside: the lobby is on the 70th floor, so you have to take the elevator up there first, then go down to your room—slightly inconvenient. Also, valet parking comes with an extra fee of about $80 per night, which pushes the total cost close to $250 for the room alone. Still, despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was fantastic. I’d absolutely stay here again.
