Staying at the Postillion Hotel Amsterdam was a fantastic experience. What a wonderful way to start the new year! We stayed in the cozy little Studio A, and everything was top-notch—spotlessly clean, perfectly located in the heart of Amsterdam yet surprisingly quiet. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the compact bathroom was well-designed with all the essentials. Everything matched exactly what was described. The host was friendly and responsive throughout our stay. We booked a parking spot nearby, which made things super convenient. The houseboat itself is thoughtfully laid out, with a lovely terrace perfect for relaxing with a drink and enjoying the view. Overall, a fantastic experience—we’d absolutely come back!

Stayed for two nights and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The hotel is incredibly easy to find—just take the free ferry from the Central Station’s F2 pier to IJplein, then a 10-minute walk along the bike path to reach the property. There are two supermarkets right downstairs (Dirk and Jumbo), so grabbing snacks or essentials is super convenient. Staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help—answered every question promptly and politely. During marathon season, they even provided helpful transportation tips, which showed real thoughtfulness. The room was spacious, well-laid out, and had a clean, minimalist design. The bed was comfortable, linens were fresh, and the bathroom had strong water pressure—perfect for a refreshing shower. Noise insulation was excellent; we didn’t hear anything from neighboring rooms. Breakfast was a highlight: a wide variety of breads, all freshly baked and delicious, with quick replenishment throughout service. The coffee stood out—rich, aromatic, and exactly what you want to kickstart your day. Overall, great value, fantastic location, and top-notch hospitality. Definitely coming back.

From there, it's only about 10 minutes by train to the airport, making travel super convenient. Take the left route instead, and you're straight into the city center—no detours needed. Right next to the hotel, you'll find several halal restaurants, two supermarkets, and a laundry facility, which makes daily life super easy. The staff at reception are amazing—Egyptian and Yemeni team members who go above and beyond with their hospitality. They’re friendly, helpful, and never seem to run out of energy or smiles. I’ve stayed at many hotels across Europe, but this one stands out for its unbeatable mix of location, convenience, and genuine service. I’ll definitely book here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Staying in the 10-person dorm was a great experience—morning hours were a bit busy, but no worries! There’s an extra private bathroom and shower area just outside for female guests, so you can easily use them when needed. The vibe here is super welcoming—guests from all over the world, friendly and easygoing. It feels like staying in a cozy international home rather than just a hostel. Super close to the city center with easy access to public transit, and the value for money is unbeatable. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Amsterdam!
