Upon arrival around 3 PM, my room wasn’t ready yet, but the staff kindly escorted me to the lounge where I was treated to a complimentary drink while waiting. The mini-bar in the room was fully stocked with free snacks and beverages—although it’s typically replenished after three nights, they actually restocked it by the second day, which was impressive. I left a 50 EGP tip for one of the front desk staff, expecting it to be taken immediately, but surprisingly, it wasn’t collected until my final day. That small gesture really stood out—it showed genuine professionalism and thoughtfulness. The river view from my upgraded room was breathtaking, and the location is super convenient for public transit. This hotel offers exceptional value and service. Definitely coming back next time.

Venus Hostel
We booked a room at Venus Hostel just to store our luggage and freshen up before boarding the Watania Sleeping Train to Luxor later in the afternoon. The location was tricky to find—no clear signage, and the entrance didn’t make a great first impression. The elevator was in poor condition, which raised some concerns. However, once we reached the upper floor, the staff were friendly and welcoming, making the stay more pleasant despite the building’s quirks. The room was minimalist but clean, and the bathroom was spotless. We didn’t get a chance to test the bedding since we had a tight schedule. One downside was the noisy environment—especially noticeable at night. Still, the area is close to several restaurants, so dining options are convenient. Overall, it’s a practical choice for travelers on a tight timetable, especially those heading out overnight. While not luxurious, the hostel offers solid value for its purpose.
