The Tokyo Station Hotel

I stayed at The Tokyo Station Hotel as part of my Classic Passport journey, and it was an absolute highlight. Being able to sleep right inside the historic Tokyo Station complex felt like stepping into a living piece of Japan’s railway heritage. I booked a room facing the dome side, and the view of the Marunouchi entrance from my window was surreal—like being in a real-life postcard. Watching the unmanned ticket gates from above in the morning and evening was something truly unique to this hotel. The staff warmly escorted me to my room and gave a quick walkthrough of the property's highlights along the way. Detailed maps are available at the front desk for those who want to explore further. Guests were quiet and respectful, with a noticeable international crowd—very welcoming and relaxed vibe. The amenities were excellent: spacious bath with a generous soaking tub that comfortably fit taller guests. Everything from toiletries to linens felt premium and thoughtfully chosen. For dinner, I reserved CAMELLIA and opted for a light meal—choosing one cold dish and one hot dish from their extensive free-flow alcohol and buffet menu. The bartender was friendly and engaging, making the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable from start to finish. Breakfast was served on the 4th floor. Though I had overindulged the night before and couldn’t fully enjoy the lavish buffet, I still savored fresh fruits, pastries, and the signature smoothies—delicious and worth every bite. It’s definitely a place I’d love to return to. This was my fourth Classic Passport stop, and I received a lunch voucher. Even with a line forming during check-out, the team remained polite, efficient, and attentive throughout. While it’s not easy to find time to stay here, I can confidently say I’ll be back—this hotel is a must-visit for anyone exploring Tokyo’s hidden gems.

hotel MONday Akihabara Asakusabashi

Staying at hotel MONday Akihabara Asakusabashi was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The room was larger than expected, with smart space planning—especially the bathroom, which felt spacious and well-designed without feeling cramped. Cleanliness was excellent throughout our stay; we never had any issues with pests or hygiene, which gave us peace of mind. As a three-person room, there’s limited space to unpack fully—just enough for one 24-inch suitcase and a small carry-on—but it’s manageable. What really stood out was the front desk staff: incredibly friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they happily stored our luggage until check-in time in the afternoon—a thoughtful touch. Location-wise, getting to Asakusa Temple is super convenient—just a short walk from the nearest subway station.
