Stay at The St. Regis San Francisco, a luxury hotel just a 15-minute drive from Sutro Forest. This upscale property offers spacious rooms with panoramic views of the city skyline and distant forest landscapes. The hotel provides private terraces and exclusive shuttle services, making it easy to access the Lands End Trail and the ancient redwood groves of Sutro Forest. Nature enthusiasts can enjoy hiking through the shaded paths, spotting native wildlife, and experiencing the serene coastal fog that blankets this historic woodland. Sutro Forest is a rare remnant of old-growth redwood groves in San Francisco, offering a tranquil escape into nature. Hike the Lands End Trail to explore dense stands of towering coastal redwoods, shrouded in morning fog. The site was once part of the grand estate of 19th-century industrialist Adolph Sutro, whose ruined mansion and stone garden terraces still stand as silent witnesses to its opulent past. Birdwatchers can spot species like the California Quail and raptors soaring above. Seasonal events include night sky tours under dark skies, perfect for stargazing without light pollution. Guided walks provide deep insights into the forest’s ecological significance and historical legacy, making it a must-visit for nature and history lovers alike.

Suites at Fisherman's Wharf

If you're planning a trip to San Francisco and want to be right in the heart of the action, this hotel is an absolute gem. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Chinatown, and all the sights you’d want to see. Public transit is also super accessible, making it easy to explore the city without needing a car. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly and helpful service—they truly made our stay special. Our room was much larger than we expected, spotlessly clean, and well-designed with smart use of space. But the real highlight? The rooftop patio. Stunning panoramic views of the bay, perfect for sunset drinks. We especially loved the complimentary glass of wine offered each evening—such a thoughtful touch. This place feels like a hidden local favorite. Highly recommended for travelers who value convenience, comfort, and a little luxury.

Club Wyndham Canterbury

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Every morning, free coffee and hot cocoa were available in the lobby—such a nice touch. They also offered flavored water, which was refreshing and appreciated. There’s a washer and dryer on one of the upper floors, perfect for longer stays. My room came equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, blender, and fridge—great for preparing meals or snacks. The housekeeping team was also very kind and professional. The entire place felt clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It truly felt like a five-star experience without the high price tag. I’ll definitely be returning next time I visit San Francisco—highly recommend!

Inn at the Opera

Absolutely charming stay at Inn at the Opera! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home—warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Special thanks to Zack at the front desk who went above and beyond when I struggled to secure a ride to the airport; his quick thinking and support ensured I made my flight on time. I loved having a kitchenette in the room—perfect for grabbing a quick meal or brewing coffee in the morning—and the water bottle refill station was such a thoughtful touch. The decor throughout the property is elegant and inviting, and its location is unbeatable: everything I wanted to explore was just a short walk away. I’d happily return again and again.

Lombard Inn

The Lombard Inn is a solid choice if you're looking for a no-frills stay in San Francisco. The rooms are clean and the beds are surprisingly comfortable—perfect for a good night's rest. While the decor and furnishings feel a bit dated, they’re still functional and adequately maintained. One thing worth mentioning is that the hallways had a slight musty odor, likely due to the carpets needing a deep clean. That said, it’s an easy fix and doesn’t detract much from the overall experience. I’d recommend this hotel for travelers who prioritize comfort and convenience over modern design. It’s a reliable option with great value, especially if you're on a budget.

It’s a hidden gem with a welcoming vibe, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone passing through.

Kailash Hotel

On Friday, April 21st at 10:15 AM, a guest from another building at the hotel climbed over the fence between units 179 and 173, entered our private driveway area, then climbed over our fence and left toward Wiese Street, heading toward 16th Street. We immediately called 911. The situation was alarming and unsettling. While police responded promptly, the incident raised serious concerns about property security and safety protocols. It's important to note that making assumptions based on someone's background is not only inappropriate but also harmful. As guests, we expect the hotel to maintain a secure environment for all. We hope management will take immediate action to improve fencing, surveillance, and overall safety measures to prevent future incidents.
