The only minor drawback is the room soundproofing; we occasionally heard faint conversations from neighboring rooms late at night, likely from business calls. That said, bringing earplugs easily solves the issue. Overall, the location, cleanliness, and modern amenities make this hotel an excellent value. Even though the room isn’t huge, it comfortably fits two queen-sized beds—perfect for families with kids who can squeeze in without feeling cramped. What surprised me most was how well I slept: I’ve struggled with back pain for years, but on this soft mattress, I actually woke up pain-free after three nights. It felt like a luxury spa experience every evening. The room came with a Keurig-style coffee maker, and there’s a Starbucks right next to the second-floor front desk—ideal for that morning caffeine boost. Bar10 on the second floor serves excellent food; we enjoyed a few meals there, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The hotel connects directly to two shopping centers, which made winter visits so convenient—no need to brave the cold just to grab a bite or do some shopping. Everything was spotless, and the place even had a brand-new renovation vibe. The bathroom features both a rain shower head and handheld sprayer, and while you do stand in the tub to shower, the water pressure is strong and refreshing. Facing north, the view opens up to the Charles River and the silhouette of MIT across the way—completely unobstructed. Boston is such a beautiful city, full of character and charm. If I ever return, I’d choose this hotel again without hesitation.

Back Bay is quiet and charming, with fantastic restaurants just steps away. Breakfast at Charlie’s was absolutely delicious—worth the trip alone! The city was full of chic holiday spirit during our visit, making it even more magical. Clarendon Square offered elegant comfort, a peaceful night's sleep, thoughtful treats, and Stephen’s attentive hospitality made all the difference. It truly felt like coming home. I’d recommend this place without hesitation—and I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Everything you need is within walking distance, and the overall experience was just fantastic. I’d definitely stay here again.

The heating didn’t work properly during a few chilly nights, but we reported it right away, and the host confirmed HVAC would be checked after our departure. While air conditioning isn’t common in colder northern climates (and honestly, we wouldn’t expect it here), it did feel a bit snug on the coldest day. Still, that’s just part of the seasonal reality up north. Overall, this place offers a warm, welcoming vibe, great location, and excellent value. We’d definitely stay here again—especially for travelers who appreciate authenticity and local charm over cookie-cutter hotels.

Staying at the AC Hotel by Marriott Boston Downtown was a solid experience overall. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent—walking distance to Chinatown, downtown attractions, and nearby train stations in just 10–15 minutes. The lobby lounge is cozy, and there’s a convenient grocery store and several dining options right on-site, making meals super easy. It’s also just a short walk to the Sowa Power Station exhibition space, perfect for art lovers. Complimentary coffee and milk are available all day in the lobby, and breakfast at $25 per person is decent and filling. However, the downside is that the hotel sits close to a highway, so noise from traffic made it hard to sleep—windows didn’t seal tightly, and we were woken up around 4 a.m. One of my colleagues barely slept at all, which made the whole stay frustrating despite the good value elsewhere. We all joked we’d never book here again after such a rough night.
