Staying at Gran Melia Chengdu was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff went above and beyond—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely warm. Special mention to Kevin Bai, the front office manager, whose thoughtful service made a real difference. He remembered our preferences and checked in on us throughout the stay, which felt incredibly personal. The lobby lounge is elegant and relaxing, perfect for unwinding with a drink or just enjoying the ambiance. The beds were heavenly—luxuriously comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. We celebrated New Year’s Eve here, and the whole atmosphere was magical. The hotel’s location is great, easily accessible by metro, and the overall luxury combined with such genuine hospitality makes this a top-tier choice. I’d return in a heartbeat.

Homeland Hotel

The lobby is beautifully designed with a serene, traditional Chinese aesthetic—especially the restaurant area with its little bridge and flowing water feature. It truly captures the tranquil vibe of Jiangnan. The room was spotless and well-maintained, with clean linens and thoughtful touches throughout. Right outside the door is the metro station, making travel around Chengdu incredibly convenient. The swimming pool is kept immaculate—crystal clear water and always well-sanitized. I’d definitely stay here again on my next business trip. Excellent location, great service, and fantastic value. Highly recommend this hotel for both leisure and work travelers.

After checking several options, I chose this hotel mainly because of its unbeatable location: the metro entrance is right at the building’s doorstep, making it super easy to reach places like People's Park and the local museum. Breakfast was outstanding — abundant, fresh, and included handmade wontons and authentic bean curd pudding. The bathroom was well-maintained with perfect water temperature and strong shower pressure. But honestly, what stood out most was the bed — incredibly comfortable, with plush pillows that made for a restful night’s sleep. I actually considered buying the same set! Plus, the room had zero unpleasant odors upon entry — just clean, fresh air. Overall, an exceptional experience with great value and attention to detail. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Chengdu.

While the morning breakfast area felt slightly chilly with inadequate warm airflow from the air conditioning, and the bed could’ve used a bit more plushness—though it was still very comfortable—I didn’t feel any urge to switch rooms or check out. The overhead showerhead seemed to need descaling, but again, it didn’t detract from the stay. Breakfast offerings were solid, though the pastries leaned on the sweeter side, and the freshly squeezed juice wasn’t prepared in front of guests—leading me to wonder if it was truly fresh or pre-made (it did show slight separation). I also missed seeing small wontons on the menu, but these minor points don’t overshadow the bigger picture. The ambiance, service, and attention to detail are top-notch. This is definitely a hotel worth considering for future visits—no regrets, just a strong desire to come back.
