Only minor downsides: the power outlets aren’t very conveniently placed, especially if you’re using a travel adapter—it’s a bit awkward to plug in things. Also, while the window opens, it faces a closed wall with no view. But honestly, since we were here mostly for convenience and not sightseeing, it didn’t bother me much. All in all, great value, excellent location, and a solid choice for travelers looking for a quiet, reliable base in central Shanghai.
