Hollywood Hotel
Staying at Hollywood Hotel was an absolutely delightful experience overall. The property is immaculate, with clean and spacious rooms that felt both modern and cozy. I especially loved the room key—it’s so cute I actually brought it home as a souvenir! The only minor downside was one staff member (Spanish-speaking) who seemed rather unfriendly, which slightly dampened the mood. However, every other team member I interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. Location-wise, the neighborhood isn’t the safest for walking around, and there aren’t many attractions within easy reach on foot. We rented a car, which made everything much more convenient—highly recommended if you don’t have access to transportation. That said, considering the great value, excellent service, and prime location near Hollywood landmarks, this hotel is definitely worth a stay.

With such a high-quality experience at this price point, the value-for-money ratio is truly unbeatable. I can’t recommend this place enough—definitely one of the best stays I’ve had in Los Angeles!

Absolutely thrilled with the value for money! The hotel is perfectly located just steps away from Koreatown, where you'll find an amazing variety of delicious food options—everything from casual street eats to authentic restaurants. The breakfast was fantastic, fresh, well-prepared, and offered a great mix of choices. I even caught a soccer game during my stay, which added a fun touch to the trip. Everything about this experience was top-notch, and I’m already planning to return. Highly recommend this gem if you're visiting LA!

I especially appreciated the coffee maker at the desk along with complimentary travel mugs—such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast was simple but satisfying, offering fresh juice, coffee, eggs, bacon, and fruit—all the essentials to start the day right. Great value for money and highly recommend this property for both business and leisure travelers.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and welcoming. Breakfast was simple—just some bread—but it was sufficient if you're on a tight schedule. One thing worth noting is that my room faced a nearby high school, so it was quiet and peaceful throughout the night. Dining and shopping are super convenient: just steps away from a fantastic Mexican restaurant with authentic flavors and generous portions, plus a huge 7-Eleven right next door for late-night snacks or essentials. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the CBD area, but if you take the 16 bus, you can get there directly without transfers—super easy and time-saving. For travelers who value location, comfort, and value, this hotel delivers all three.

I've never stayed in a hostel with shared rooms featuring double beds, and I was pleasantly surprised—everything was incredibly clean, the facility ran smoothly, and the place remained quiet throughout my stay. No issues at all. The only suggestion I'd make is adding a small notice near the door with contact information for the property staff—it would be helpful for guests who need assistance. Overall, it's a fantastic spot with great value, excellent location, and a very welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

It's only a short metro ride to downtown LA, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Located in one of the safest neighborhoods in LA, the property itself has excellent security measures that add peace of mind. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean, and every time I check in, the front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. If you're planning a trip to LA, I highly recommend giving Shelter Hotel a try—it offers a unique, comfortable, and secure experience that stands out from the rest.

Overall, an unforgettable experience from start to finish—highly recommend for anyone looking for something truly special.

Our stay at Hotel Silver Lake was a major disappointment. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it impossible to sleep—my wife and I ended up checking out at 3 a.m. despite having booked the room in advance. The only positive was the on-site security and the fact that our car was safe in the parking lot. However, the neighborhood felt unsafe due to the large number of homeless people around. We were hoping for a better experience, especially given the price, but unfortunately, the smell and overall atmosphere ruined the trip. Would not recommend staying here if you're looking for a peaceful night’s rest.
