We booked a six-person dorm for three of us, and honestly, the space was incredible—way bigger than expected. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, super clean and well-maintained. Two single beds plus two bunk beds made it comfortable for all of us, with plenty of room to move around. I actually wished we had invited a few more friends—would’ve been even more fun! The view from the window is great too, especially in the evening when the city lights come on. The only downside? It’s a bit far from the city center, but the subway connection is quick and reliable. Overall, this place offers amazing value and a fantastic stay—definitely coming back!
Hotel Gunia
We stayed at Hotel Gunia for three nights and couldn't be happier with the experience. The service was warm and attentive, the room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, and the breakfast was exceptional—fresh, varied, and delicious. The box spring beds were perfectly balanced—not too hard, not too soft—making for some of the best sleep we’ve had on our trip. We appreciated the secure parking right around the corner, which made arriving and leaving stress-free. The location is ideal for exploring Berlin, with a great selection of restaurants, cafes, and shops just steps away. The owners are genuinely helpful and offer excellent local tips—truly a bonus. This is my second stay at Minimal Hostel, and I’m now fully convinced it will always be my go-to choice when visiting Berlin. The only thing to note is that the rooms are on the second floor with no elevator—nothing major, but worth mentioning if mobility is a concern. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the friendly manager who personally escorted us to our room, listened to our needs, and made sure everything was set up perfectly. The room itself was spotless, with a comfortable bed, a small fridge, and a safe tucked inside the wardrobe—great for peace of mind. The bathroom was clean, functional, and stocked with plenty of towels. We stayed in a rear-facing room, which meant minimal noise during the night—though occasionally we could hear some sound from the restaurant downstairs when trash bins were being emptied. One thing to keep in mind: there are no blackout curtains or blinds—only thick curtains—so early morning sunlight can be a bit bright if you’re a light sleeper. Breakfast, served from 7:30 to 10:00 AM, was one of the highlights.
