Check-in was seamless thanks to the friendly and helpful front desk staff who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. But the real highlight? The sunset views from the property—breathtaking, golden light reflecting over the ocean, perfect for photos and quiet moments. It’s rare to find such a serene yet well-connected resort. Highly recommend for travelers seeking comfort, beauty, and easy access to everything San Diego has to offer.

Kona Kai Resort & Spa, a Noble House Resort

The staff here were absolutely fantastic—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The room itself was cozy and spotless, making for a really relaxing stay. That said, there were a few small improvements that could be made: the bathroom could use more storage options—just one towel rack in the shower and a tiny hook on the wall, with no convenient spots near the sink for hand towels. Also, the lack of a working exhaust fan made the space feel humid and stuffy, especially after a hot day. Morning coffee service was disappointing too—it wasn’t available until well past the advertised time, and by the time we arrived at 7:00 AM, it was already gone. Still, these minor drawbacks don’t come close to overshadowing the positives. The pool area is stunning, with incredible ocean views and a peaceful, tropical vibe. Watching the sunset from the terrace was pure magic. This resort truly delivers on ambiance and comfort. We’d definitely come back again—this place has a special charm that’s hard to beat.

The Westgate Hotel

Absolutely loved my stay at The Westgate Hotel! The location is perfect—just a short walk from downtown San Diego, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, especially the bed—woke up feeling refreshed every morning. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. What stood out most was the great value for money—this hotel offers a premium experience without the premium price. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends.
