We’ve stayed at many hostels before, but Yolo Hostel Medellin stands out in every way—clean, welcoming, and perfectly located just a short walk from the city center. If we ever return to Medellín, this will be our first choice. Highly recommend it for travelers who value authentic, heartfelt service and a cozy, social atmosphere.
Rango Hostel Boutique
Staying at Rango Hostel Boutique was an absolute delight! My wife and I brought our baby along for a cozy suite, and everything exceeded our expectations. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable—especially the bed, which made for some of the best sleep we’ve had in a long time. The shower was fantastic with strong water pressure and consistent temperature, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Medellín. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and stress-free. From the warm welcome to the attention to detail, every aspect of the stay felt thoughtfully curated. It’s rare to find such a welcoming, well-run place with such a great vibe. This place quickly became my go-to breakfast spot after staying at a nearby hostel with overpriced food and slow service. Located in the Poblano neighborhood, the prices are fair and totally reasonable for the area. The owner is incredibly sweet and welcoming—genuinely warm and attentive. Meals were served fast, and every juice was freshly squeezed, making it feel like a real treat. (Note: I’m not sure if she’s closed on Sunday mornings—best to check ahead.) After seeing photos of the rooms and hearing from other travelers, I actually think I’d enjoy staying here more than some of the noisier hostels nearby. It’s quieter, cleaner, and has that homely vibe you don’t always find in budget accommodations. If you’re visiting Medellín and want a peaceful, authentic experience with great food and kind hospitality, this is a must-try.

Located in the heart of El Poblado’s Patio Bonito neighborhood, Lady Mom Hostal offers a clean and cozy atmosphere that feels more like a home away from home. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel personal and comfortable. While there’s no kitchen or shared lounge area to relax in, the highlight is definitely the excellent café right below the hostel—affordable, well-kept, and perfect for morning coffee or a quick bite. That said, one major drawback is the lack of clear signage. It’s nearly impossible to spot the entrance at night, especially when the café closes. We recommend asking locals for directions or using GPS navigation to avoid confusion. Despite this small issue, the location is quiet yet central, and the overall value makes it a solid choice for travelers looking for a peaceful, authentic stay in Medellín.

The breakfast spread was impressive too: fresh local flavors mixed with classic Western options, all well-prepared and delicious. The hotel’s location is convenient, just a short metro ride from the city center. Overall, it's a perfect blend of comfort, service, and value—definitely a top choice if you're visiting Medellín.

I absolutely loved staying at Orbe Hotel! The location is excellent, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. One thing to note is that there's a bar right next to the hotel that stays open late with loud music—this might be an issue if you're sensitive to noise or prefer a quiet evening. I’d recommend requesting a higher floor for better sound insulation. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’d definitely stay here again. Great value for money!

The location of CoLink House Hotel is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Medellín, with everything within walking distance. We were just a short stroll from the metro station and found plenty of great restaurants nearby. In about 10 minutes, we reached Provenza, and there’s also a large supermarket close by where you can find everything you need, including local Colombian clothing brands. The staff went above and beyond to help us—when we didn’t have a metro card, they kindly lent us one for our entire stay. They even gave us detailed guidance on routes, schedules, and key spots to visit, all clearly displayed on an easy-to-read metro map on the wall. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a very comfortable stay. I’m genuinely thrilled with the experience and will definitely return here whenever I come back to Medellín. A truly welcoming and convenient home away from home.
