The owners—both husband and wife—welcomed us with genuine kindness, and their staff were attentive without being intrusive. Our Standard Suite was enchanting: softly lit, beautifully furnished with intricate details, and opening onto a peaceful inner courtyard. In the evenings, we enjoyed live puppet shows or simply relaxed with a drink, soaking in the serene vibe. Breakfast and dinner were served in a cozy little room, where the staff provided quiet yet thoughtful service. What stood out most was when the owner’s wife joined us for dinner—she shared stories behind each dish and chatted warmly, making the meal feel personal and special. This place isn’t just a stay—it’s an experience rooted in hospitality, history, and charm. A perfect blend of comfort and authenticity. Highly recommended.

The first room wasn’t quite what we expected—it felt a bit tucked away in the back courtyard, and with two single beds, it didn’t feel very cozy. But the hotel quickly upgraded us to a lovely room on the upper floor: spacious, with a comfortable king bed and a beautifully designed bathroom. What truly blew us away was the interior—the grand halls, elegant salons, cozy library nooks, and dining area are all exquisitely decorated with authentic Rajasthani charm. It’s like walking through history. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, and both breakfast and dinner were exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Even though the city outside was noisy and lively, inside the hotel, there was a peaceful serenity that made it feel like a hidden retreat. They even gave me great travel tips, suggesting I visit Udaipur next, then Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, which perfectly fit my itinerary. The breakfast was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared with a variety of vegetarian options. One thing worth mentioning is that carbonated drinks from the restaurant’s fridge came with an extra charge of 80 INR per can, but there was no visible signage indicating this fee, which could be confusing for guests. Despite this small oversight, the hotel’s charm, serene atmosphere, and warm hospitality made up for it. It’s a peaceful retreat with a strong sense of heritage and authenticity. If you’re looking for a quiet, well-kept stay with great food and genuine care, this place is definitely worth considering—especially given its value for money.
