Little National Hotel Sydney
This was my second stay in Sydney, and once again I chose this hotel — and I’m so glad I did. Even though the rooms aren’t large, they’re thoughtfully designed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is unbeatable: just a 10-minute walk to Darling Harbour, 15 minutes to QVB, and about 20 minutes on foot to the Sydney Opera House. Everything is within easy reach, whether you’re walking or hopping on the train nearby. The area is lively, full of great cafes and shops, and it feels safe and convenient. It’s one of those places where you realize that even small spaces can offer big value. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.

I can't possibly rate Wyndel Apartments and Suzanne highly enough. We came to Sydney for my husband’s major surgery, and it was an incredibly stressful time. Suzanne from Wyndel Apartments went above and beyond to support us—she helped with our accommodation arrangements and made every step of the process so much smoother. Her kindness, responsiveness, and attention to detail truly made a difference during a difficult period. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, reliable place to stay in the St Leonard’s area. It’s not just about the location or the space—it’s the personal touch that makes all the difference.

Manor Boutique Hotel
My one-night stay at Manor Boutique Hotel in Sydney turned out to be a major disappointment. The room was freezing cold, and the heater simply didn’t work—despite reporting it immediately to reception. A staff member came by to check, but the issue wasn’t resolved. We were told to wait until the next day for assistance, which made no sense when we were already leaving the following morning. After checking out, we never received a single follow-up call or message from the hotel. Poor communication, weak management, and zero customer care. The entire experience fell far short of expectations. I won’t be returning, and I definitely won’t recommend this place to friends or family. Given how unsatisfactory the service was, I believe a refund is absolutely warranted—this stay wasn’t worth the price.

Parking on the street can be tricky at times, but once you’re settled, it’s actually easier to hop on an Uber or take the ferry—just a 10-minute ride to the city center. What really stands out is how close this place is to the Bondi to Manly walking track. The path winds through peaceful semi-rainforest areas, offering surprising tranquility just minutes from residential streets. Along the way, the harbor views are stunning—perfect for early morning walks or sunset strolls. If you love nature, quiet trails, and effortless access to Sydney’s coastal beauty, this hotel is a must-try.

A great base for exploring Sydney while staying close to campus.

Staying at Dive Hotel in Coogee was a great experience—perfectly located right in the heart of the action. Just a short walk to the beach, local cafes, and shops, making it super convenient for exploring the area. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and clean amenities. While the bathroom could use a refresh, it was spotless and had excellent hot water pressure. Overall, this was a relaxing and hassle-free stay. I’d definitely recommend it for travelers looking for a quiet yet central base in Sydney.

This hostel is hands down the best I've stayed at—truly a top-tier experience. YHA Sydney Central sets a new standard for cleanliness; every corner, especially the bathrooms, feels like it’s freshly renovated. The dorm rooms are spacious with high ceilings, so there’s no feeling of crowding or claustrophobia—just comfortable and airy. The kitchen and dining area are fully equipped with everything you’d need for cooking, and the staff do regular cleaning, which shows how much care they put into maintaining the space. 24/7 front desk service with friendly, helpful staff who go the extra mile to assist with anything from travel tips to booking local tours. Security is impressive too—access is card-controlled, which gives peace of mind. I actually had a funny moment: I went up from the 2nd floor to the 4th to do laundry, took the stairs down to ground level, but couldn’t re-enter because the card didn’t work. Ended up walking all the way around through the back door and back in—turns out the access system restricts movement between floors unless you’re on the right level! It was a small hiccup, but proof that their security system is thorough. Overall, this place offers exceptional value, great facilities, and a welcoming vibe—perfect for solo travelers or groups visiting Sydney.
