Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a complimentary bottle of Port wine—since I only wanted to taste a little, I returned the full bottle and received half a glass instead, which showed how attentive and flexible the staff are. Everything is so well-connected here: major attractions like the Douro River, São Francisco Church, and the old town are just a short walk away. Public transport is also easily accessible, making exploration effortless. This place truly offers an authentic local experience with excellent value for money. I’d definitely come back again.

Our conversation was so pleasant and genuine, it felt like chatting with a friend who truly cares about your experience. The rest of the staff were equally friendly and helpful. And the breakfast?
