West End is Vancouver’s soulful heartbeat—a maze of tree-lined alleys, vintage brick buildings, and cozy cafés where creativity hums in the air. Wander past indie boutiques, sip coffee with a cat-loving barista, or catch an artist painting on a sidewalk canvas. It’s not about the destination—it’s about feeling the city breathe slow, real, and deeply human.

Staying at the Best Western Plus Sands in Vancouver was an absolute delight. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep, and the entire hotel felt spotlessly clean—every corner looked well-maintained. What really stood out was the location: just a short walk from English Bay, perfect for strolling along the waterfront, enjoying the sunset, or taking in the lively atmosphere of the area. There are plenty of great dining options nearby, ranging from casual cafes to more upscale restaurants, so you’re never far from a good meal. Public transit access is also convenient, making it easy to explore the city. For travelers looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a prime location without breaking the bank, this hotel is a top choice. I’d definitely stay here again.

Staying at Cozy Bedrooms Guest House in Vancouver was an absolutely delightful experience. The host, a kind and warm-hearted lady, made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived—her friendly smile and welcoming attitude instantly put me at ease. Though I wish I had more time to chat with her, her genuine hospitality truly stood out. The room itself was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully decorated with comfort in mind. The bed was incredibly cozy, and I slept so well it felt like a true escape. Located just minutes away from public transit, getting around the city was super easy. Nearby cafes, grocery stores, and restaurants made daily needs convenient. This place offers such great value and charm—perfect for travelers who appreciate a personal touch. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver.

Staying at Divya Sutra Suites on Robson Downtown Vancouver was an absolute pleasure. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from a variety of great dining options, including a cozy Chinese restaurant that’s perfect for a quick bite. The suite itself is quiet and well-designed, offering a peaceful retreat after a long day exploring the city. I especially appreciated having a full kitchen and a private balcony—being able to cook simple meals in the room made my stay much more convenient and budget-friendly. The place was spotless, with clean linens, sparkling bathroom fixtures, and a fresh, welcoming atmosphere throughout. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly, genuine smiles and helpful service—always ready to assist without being intrusive. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully done. If you’re looking for a comfortable, central, and well-equipped base in downtown Vancouver, this is definitely a top choice.

I rarely leave reviews, but after a four-day stay at Diana's Luxury B&B, I felt compelled to warn others. This place couldn’t be further from luxury—it’s more like a cluttered storage unit than a home. Every inch of floor and wall space is packed with cheap, mass-market knickknacks—let’s be honest, they’re not even decorative, just messy. No air conditioning forced the host to keep steel shutters closed all day, making the interior stuffy and eerie. The bed was uncomfortable, with low-quality bedding that caused back pain each morning—plus, the sheets were mismatched and stained with bleach marks. Breakfast was worse: a hard-boiled egg, dry bread, a small yogurt, and half a fruit. Minimal, unappetizing, and uninspired. Even the spreads—jam, peanut butter, etc.—were in large jars reused over and over by countless guests. It’s gross, honestly. We paid a lot for four nights, and it completely ruined our trip. I truly feel cheated. Please think twice before booking here—there are far better, more comfortable, and hygienic options available at a fraction of the cost. Don’t waste your money or time.

The location is excellent—just a short walk from downtown Vancouver and very convenient for public transit. The only downside is that the hosts only speak Chinese, so guests who don’t understand Mandarin will need to rely on a translation app. That said, it’s a minor hurdle considering how well-maintained the villa is, the comfortable layout, and the peaceful neighborhood. Everything else was spot-on: clean, quiet, and great value for money. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Vancouver.

I was truly impressed with my stay at The Sunshine House—everything exceeded my expectations. From the warm and welcoming staff to the spotless, well-maintained rooms, it’s clear that attention to detail matters here. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the soundproofing made for a peaceful night’s sleep. What stood out most was the complimentary parking—huge plus when you're exploring Vancouver by car. The location is perfect: close to public transit, surrounded by great restaurants and cafes, and just a short walk from downtown attractions. I’ve stayed at many hotels before, but this one stands out for its genuine hospitality and value. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver—this is definitely my top pick for future trips.

Staying at the Barclay Hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Vancouver. Right by the waterfront and just steps from the city center, every morning started with a breathtaking view of the sea. The area feels very modern and vibrant, with plenty of trendy cafes, shops, and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself is sleek and well-designed—spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and quiet air conditioning that barely makes a sound. What stood out most was how great the value was for such a prime location. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this place offers comfort, convenience, and style all in one. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver.

It's truly disappointing to see a property with heritage status allowed to deteriorate so badly. There are multiple holes in the roof, the yard and garden are completely neglected, and the surrounding area shows no signs of maintenance. Water pressure is weak, and the temperature control is inconsistent—during winter, the heating isn’t sufficient, making it necessary to wear a jacket just to stay warm. It’s clear the owners don’t care much about the property, let alone guest comfort. Yet they’re still happy to take your money. Avoid this place—your money would be better spent elsewhere. The condition is only going to get worse, and more complaints will follow. Eventually, the City of Vancouver may be forced to shut it down, which it absolutely should. This isn’t a proper B&B anymore—it’s a warning sign.

The property was extremely disappointing. The walls were filthy and covered in grime, and I noticed bugs along the baseboards, floors, bathroom, and even in the shared kitchen area—this level of uncleanliness is unacceptable. There was no TV in the room, no tissues, no drinking glasses, and not even a single bar of soap provided. It felt like staying in an old, poorly maintained house with no attention to basic hygiene or guest comfort. For the price, this place offers absolutely no value. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, safe, and functional stay.

Staying at the Waldorf Hotel in Vancouver was a delightful experience. Located just steps away from the U.S. Embassy, it’s an ideal spot for a quick getaway. The location is convenient, with easy access to public transit and nearby attractions. The hotel exudes elegance, with top-notch service and a peaceful atmosphere that made our short trip feel luxurious. Highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting Vancouver—perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience.

Staying at English Bay Hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Vancouver. The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach with ocean views from the room and a short walk to restaurants, shops, and even a local Chinese supermarket. I loved being able to grab fresh ingredients and cook a simple meal in the fully equipped kitchen. We warmed up milk and reheated bread using the microwave in the morning—so convenient! It felt like home away from home. The combination of easy access to nature, dining, and amenities made this stay truly special. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver.

Staying at The Cambie Hostel Gastown was an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was spotlessly clean, compact but well-organized with comfortable bedding that made for a great night’s sleep. Common areas are thoughtfully designed—great kitchen facilities, working laundry machines, and free coffee available throughout the day. A small tip: bring your own toiletries, towel, and slippers as these aren’t provided, which makes things much more convenient. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the nearest subway station and right next to the iconic Steam Clock. It’s also super easy to get to North Vancouver without transfers. Whether you're exploring downtown or heading out on a day trip, this hostel offers both comfort and convenience at a fantastic value. Highly recommend for budget travelers and solo explorers alike.
