The team, led by Felicity, goes above and beyond: rooms are spotless, beds are neatly made, and dishes are washed and ready each day—perfect after a full day exploring. For a small extra fee, they even handle your laundry, which is incredibly convenient. Located in Sea Point, it's just a 2-minute walk to Regent Street, where you'll find plenty of great restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. It’s less than 10 minutes by car to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and downtown Cape Town, making everything easily accessible. Table Mountain and Lion’s Head rise majestically behind the neighborhood—just look out the bedroom window and you’ll see them daily. Walking down Regent Street offers stunning views of Lion’s Head, and if you keep going, you’ll reach Camps Bay, then follow the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive all the way to Hout Bay. We stayed in due to strong winds and ordered from the menu, but the meal didn’t live up to the quality of our lunch visit earlier that week. I’m not sure if there’s a different chef working the evening shift, but it was a bit disappointing. Still, this minor issue didn’t take away from the overall fantastic experience. We’re already planning our return visit!

The Grey Hotel

The Grey Hotel is an absolute gem! I was so impressed by how welcoming and thoughtful the staff were—especially Lisa, who personally reached out when I missed my check-in due to a flight delay. That kind of attention to detail really stood out. The location is unbeatable: just steps away from the Waterfront, the colorful streets of Bo-Kaap, and the heart of downtown Cape Town. Whether you're here for sightseeing, dining, or just soaking in the vibe, this hotel puts you right in the middle of it all. Clean, stylish rooms with a modern touch, and a warm, personal feel that makes you feel at home. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Hippo Boutique Hotel

Located just a 10-minute walk from the city center, this hotel offers excellent convenience without compromising on peace and quiet. The room was spacious and well-appointed, making it a comfortable stay despite being surrounded by lively restaurants and bars—surprisingly peaceful at night. One minor drawback is the breakfast arrangement: instead of serving breakfast in-house, the hotel provides vouchers for three nearby eateries. Unfortunately, two of them open at 7:30 AM but often don’t serve guests until around 7:50, while the third doesn’t open until 8:00. If you're an early riser, this might be a bit inconvenient. That said, the overall experience was fantastic—the location, cleanliness, and staff were all top-notch. It’s definitely a great choice for travelers who value both comfort and proximity to attractions.

SunSquare Cape Town City Bowl

My stay here was absolutely fantastic! The view from my room was breathtaking—right in the heart of Cape Town’s city bowl, just a short walk to Waterfront, V&A, and plenty of lively bars. The rooftop bar was a highlight: stylish, with live music adding great vibes, and the pool area was charming and perfect for unwinding. I loved how spacious and quiet the gym was—no crowds at all, which made working out so enjoyable. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed. This place offers an unbeatable mix of convenience, comfort, and charm. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town.

Balfour Place Guesthouse

Staying at Balfour Place Guesthouse was an absolute delight from start to finish. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a calm, beautifully curated atmosphere—elegant yet welcoming. The staff made us feel right at home with their warm hospitality. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the quality of the linens made for a truly restful night’s sleep. Our room and bathroom were spacious and well-designed, with a breathtaking view overlooking Camps Bay—perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The location is unbeatable: just steps away from top restaurants, cafés, and the scenic promenade. Breakfast was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Every detail felt intentional and well-executed. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back.
