Just a short walk away from Bandung’s famous streetwear district, where you’ll find cool shops like Sch and Flo, perfect for fashion lovers. Despite being in a central area, it’s far enough from the busy streets of Braga, so you get convenience without the noise. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Bandung.

Staying at Janevalla Bandung was a highlight of our trip to Bandung. The location is excellent—super convenient for getting around, whether by public transit or taxi. What truly stood out was the exceptional service: staff were genuinely helpful and went above and beyond. They arranged private car transfers (a bit pricier but worth it for peace of mind), coordinated with drivers, even helped us get a free ride initially—when we offered cash later, they kindly accepted it with a smile. Our front desk agent spoke flawless English and patiently explained why the grilled squid we bought was priced higher—very transparent and appreciated. The room itself was comfortable, and while facilities are average compared to other hotels in Bandung, we suspect it might’ve been busier due to the weekend. At over $100 per night, the rate felt slightly high, but ultimately it’s up to personal preference. The 24-hour check-in/check-out policy was a game-changer—we arrived just after 3 PM and checked out the next day at the same time, perfect for our early-morning volcano trek to Tangkuban Perahu and Domas. Even better, they proactively packed breakfast (simple sandwiches, boiled water, and fried sausage) for our 6:30 AM departure—so thoughtful! The rooftop pool area is a great spot to unwind with a drink and enjoy the breeze. We also loved how affordable the fruits were—just a quick call at midnight when we wanted a snack, and they delivered fresh fruit right away. One downside? Soundproofing isn’t ideal—some noise from neighboring rooms made it hard to sleep at times. Also, like Jakarta, traffic can be heavy if you’re driving, but walking to nearby shopping areas takes only about 20 minutes, which is totally manageable.

The staff are friendly and attentive, making the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. It’s a great value for money, and I can’t recommend it enough. Definitely coming back and will bring friends and family too.

Arsallya Hotel
I was really disappointed with my stay at Arsallya Hotel. Upon arrival, I found the staff already gone and the lobby completely empty—there was no one around, making it feel like the hotel had closed down. I initially thought it might just be a quiet time, but after asking locals nearby, I learned the hotel had actually been shut for some time. It's frustrating that the listing remained active without any update, leading me to waste my time and travel. Please make sure listings are regularly checked and updated, especially if a property has ceased operations, so other travelers don't end up facing the same issue.
