I was pleasantly surprised to see so many Chinese guests here, and the owner is also Chinese—communication is effortless, no language barriers at all. The standout feature? Every room comes with a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for cooking your own meals—great for saving money and enjoying home-style food. Even during power outages, the backup generator kicks in seamlessly, so life goes on without interruption. The Wi-Fi is lightning fast, ideal for streaming or working remotely. Honestly, staying here felt more like being at home than in a typical hotel. Comfortable, convenient, and welcoming—I’d definitely come back again.

The stay was extremely disappointing. From the moment we entered, there was a strong unpleasant odor throughout the apartment. Check-in was scheduled for 2:00 PM, but we didn’t receive the key until after 3:00 PM—quite frustrating after waiting so long. The unit wasn’t clean at all—the oven had dried mayonnaise residue, the bathroom was visibly dirty, and towels were still damp in the dryer, suggesting they hadn’t been properly changed or cleaned. To make matters worse, there were no toiletries provided—no shampoo, no soap—so we had to rely on our own supplies. The worst part? There was vomit in the hallway outside the apartment, and it remained uncleaned for hours. We were expecting a premium penthouse suite, especially with the description mentioning high-end features, but ended up on the 12th floor of a 14-story building—feeling misled by the marketing. The price we paid simply did not match the experience. While the platform made booking easy, this property failed on every level. I regret having to say this, but we absolutely cannot recommend it to anyone.

We had already booked the unit, but upon arrival, we were casually informed that another family was already occupying it—meaning the property was overbooked. To make matters worse, this information came up at the last minute with no prior notice. If you decide to book this property, be aware that you could be unexpectedly asked to leave and end up scrambling to find alternative accommodation in a foreign country. The lack of communication and poor management made the entire process stressful and unreliable. Not recommended.

Staying in unit 1514 has been an absolute nightmare. From the moment I moved in, the apartment was filthy—dirty curtains, paint stains on the walls, a rusted microwave, and a fridge that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. To make matters worse, I discovered lice infestation in the unit. Now, I’m being charged over R6,000 for utilities from June 20th to July 15th, despite living alone and only staying here for two weeks a month. I received a bill for R3,000 on June 20th, then added over R3,000 to my power account—yet the credit barely lasts a week. I’ve repeatedly asked for help and copied all relevant parties, but no support or response has come through. This is unacceptable. I sincerely hope the owner sees this review and reaches out to resolve the situation.

The term 'executive' doesn't reflect the actual service or professionalism one would expect—this place felt more like a high-security facility than a hotel. The location is decent and close to public transit, but the overall atmosphere and treatment of guests were far from comfortable or respectful. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. Avoid at all costs.

Even though the style leans classic, the attention to detail and comfort makes it feel modern in spirit. A fantastic choice if you're looking for a reliable, high-quality stay in Sandton.

The bed was super comfortable, and the air conditioning kept the room cool and pleasant. What really stood out was the staff—they were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. With reliable backup power, I never had to worry about blackouts either. This place offers excellent value for money and delivers a true home-away-from-home experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Johannesburg and will definitely be returning.

My stay at Sandton Skye Unit 702 was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I was handed a different room that wasn’t clean and had an unpleasant smell. The next day, housekeeping knocked on my door as I was stepping out for dinner, informing me I needed to pack up immediately and move back to my original room—no prior notice or communication was given. I told them I’d do it when I returned from my appointment. When I came back, everything had already been moved without any warning. My belongings were scattered and stuffed into bags haphazardly, and the door was left open. It felt deeply invasive—someone entered my private space, handled my personal items, and rearranged everything without consent. When I raised concerns, the staff only said, 'We know it’s wrong to touch your things, but we’re sorry.' That response didn’t justify the breach of privacy. The second room was cleaner, but the lingering smoke from neighbors smoking on every floor made it hard to relax. I’ve traveled all over the world, and this is the first time I’ve experienced such a violation of personal space. I used to think this property was reliable, but it clearly isn’t anymore. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. For peace of mind, just go somewhere with proper standards and respect for guests.
