Staying at Villa Alfonsina was an absolute delight. Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Coyoacán, this beautifully preserved late 19th-century villa is surrounded by tall cypress trees, creating a serene oasis right in the heart of Mexico City. The warm orange walls, spacious rooms, and elegant black iron-framed windows blend timeless charm with subtle modernity—every detail feels intentional and inviting. The terrace offers a perfect spot to unwind with a book or enjoy the evening breeze. But what truly made my stay unforgettable were the hosts, Hector and Minerva—kind, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. They went out of their way to personally drive me to the airport, which meant more than words can say. I genuinely felt sad saying goodbye. Benjamin, who works at the villa, also added to the warmth with his quiet but attentive hospitality. From the ambiance to the people, every aspect of this experience felt authentic and special. If you're looking for a peaceful, character-filled retreat with heartfelt service, this place is absolutely worth it.

Staying at MEX Suites Casa Azul B&B was an absolute delight. The hospitality from Mauricio was exceptional—genuine, warm, and incredibly thoughtful. We were visiting Mexico City for a medical situation, and being completely unfamiliar with the city, his support made all the difference. He kept track of our arrival, offered helpful advice throughout our stay, and ensured everything went smoothly. His kindness and attention to detail truly made us feel welcome and cared for. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-located in a quiet yet convenient neighborhood. Even under stressful circumstances, this place brought peace of mind. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Mexico City—truly a gem!
Hostal Cuija Coyoacan Berlin 268 Coyoacan
I had a truly frightening experience during my stay. The front desk staff, Javier, made inappropriate advances and entered my room without permission. As a solo traveler, I felt extremely unsafe and deeply unsettled. This behavior was completely unacceptable, and I will not be returning to this property under any circumstances.
Lofts San Ángel
The stay was excellent overall, with only a minor issue—the showerhead had a slight leak due to one of the faucet handles not sealing properly. I’d recommend installing a handrail on the building’s staircase for added safety. Despite this small concern, everything else was top-notch. The location is convenient, the atmosphere peaceful, and the value for money is outstanding. I’d definitely book here again.
Casa Luna Coyoacan
We arrived at the property only to be told there was no reservation on file and that the unit had already been occupied for two nights. This was extremely frustrating and confusing—no communication beforehand, no clear resolution offered. The staff seemed unprepared and unprofessional, making the entire check-in process stressful. Unfortunately, this experience severely impacted our stay, and we cannot recommend this place due to the lack of basic organization and customer service.

Also, a heads-up for future guests: double-check that your reservation is confirmed and paid before check-in to avoid confusion. Overall, this place offers excellent value, authentic charm, and a warm atmosphere. I’d highly recommend it for anyone wanting to experience the heart of Coyoacán without compromising on comfort or service.
Satya Suites & Portal San Angel Flats
This place was a complete disappointment. The walls were an off-putting color, and the curtains looked old and worn out. To make matters worse, the amenities advertised online weren’t actually available in the unit. After staying here, I can honestly say I wouldn’t return—not even for a free night. I strongly advise against booking this property.

I felt safe walking around the area, even late at night. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from check-in onwards—they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. While the rooms are simple and don’t have luxury finishes, they’re clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. For travelers who value convenience and good service over high-end amenities, this hotel offers solid value. It’s not perfect, but it delivers on what matters most: location, safety, and hospitality.

From comfort to service, it’s clear they care about guest experience. Would highly recommend and definitely coming back.
