Staying at First Group The Palace All-Suite was an absolutely outstanding experience—definitely deserving of a perfect 10/10. The location is fantastic: just a short walk to the city center and within easy reach of public transit, with plenty of dining options nearby, including lively night markets only a 10–15 minute stroll away. The suite-style rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, offering excellent privacy and comfort. I slept like a baby on the plush bed, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—ideal for South Africa’s warm climate. The bathroom is well thought out with a clean, dry-wet separation and high-quality fixtures. Staff went above and beyond—greeted me warmly, helped with luggage, offered personalized recommendations for local attractions, and even brought a welcome drink. Breakfast was a highlight: a diverse buffet with both Western and local dishes, fresh ingredients, and freshly ground coffee. Everything felt premium without feeling overpriced. Whether you're traveling for business or family vacation, this hotel delivers exceptional value and service. I’ll definitely be back.

The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly, especially those at the bar on the second floor—so welcoming and genuinely helpful. Every interaction felt warm and personal. The food was outstanding too—fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. From check-in to checkout, everything was top-notch. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of hospitality, comfort, and great dining. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Durban.

Staying at Point Waterfront Apartments was an absolute delight! The place is spotlessly clean and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. Located just a short walk from the city center and close to public transit, getting around town was a breeze. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby—everything you need is within easy reach. Our room was compact but thoughtfully designed with all the essentials: comfy bed, modern amenities, and a stunning view of the ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves and watching the sunrise through the window was pure bliss. It’s rare to find such a great balance between comfort, location, and value. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Durban.

The Royal Hotel by Coastlands Hotels & Resorts in Durban truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff were warm and welcoming—so attentive and friendly it felt like coming home. The breakfast was consistently delicious, with a wide variety of fresh options every morning. My room was spacious and impeccably clean, offering plenty of comfort and quiet. The location is convenient, just a short walk from major attractions and transport links. Every detail, from the thoughtful amenities to the overall ambiance, made this stay unforgettable. My stay at Coastlands Durban Self Catering Holiday Apartments was extremely disappointing. Early in the morning around 6:45 AM, I realized my phone had been stolen from the room. It turned out a stranger had entered without permission—apparently because staff had told us not to lock the door due to a faulty key card issue. This lack of security is unacceptable. Later that day at around 1 PM, I encountered the manager again and he acted completely unaware, even though he clearly saw me earlier. His response was dismissive and unhelpful. To make matters worse, I also found cockroaches inside the room—this is a serious hygiene concern. The combination of theft, poor management, and unsanitary conditions made this experience truly awful. I won’t be returning, and I strongly urge the hotel to address these critical issues immediately before more guests suffer the same frustration.

Absolutely loved my stay at Bayside Hotel 116 West Street! The location is perfect—right by the waterfront with stunning ocean views from the room. I was able to catch a quick train into downtown with no hassle, making it ideal for exploring Durban. The room was clean, well-maintained, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—woke up feeling refreshed every morning. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit, even offering local tips on where to eat nearby. There’s a great mix of dining options within walking distance, including some authentic South African spots. Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back.

Staying at Bayside Hotel 100 was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and always ready to help with any request—friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. The room was spotless and well-maintained, with a clean, fresh feel that made the stay so comfortable. I especially appreciated the quiet ambiance and the cozy bed, which helped me sleep like a baby after long days exploring Durban. Located just steps away from West Street, it's super convenient for getting around town by public transport or walking. Great value for money, and perfect for both business travelers and families. Would absolutely book again and highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

Our first night was definitely disappointing—the room was small and lacked proper airflow due to its location, making it uncomfortably hot. However, we were truly blessed with an incredible staff member named Mbali, who stepped in and kindly arranged a better room with a balcony. This made all the difference! We were able to stay for the remainder of our booking and even celebrated my husband’s birthday on Sunday—exactly why we booked this trip in the first place. Her kindness turned a stressful start into a memorable experience. The hotel’s overall charm, combined with such exceptional service, makes it worth recommending. I’m already considering returning.

This place absolutely exceeded my expectations! Located just a short walk from the city center, it's incredibly convenient for exploring Durban. The apartment-style layout offers plenty of space and feels really cozy, with a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking meals a breeze. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We recently stayed at Luxe on Ridge Boutique Hotel for a friend's wedding in Durban, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—especially Shanice, who went above and beyond to help us multiple times. I accidentally left behind my AirPods after check-out, and she took the time to locate them and return them to me—truly exceptional service. The only minor suggestion would be to expand the breakfast menu with more vegetarian options, as there weren’t always enough choices available. Otherwise, the hotel’s ambiance, attention to detail, and overall comfort made it a standout stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Durban.

What stood out most was how personalized and warm the experience felt, despite being a boutique property. If you're visiting Durban, don't hesitate—this is one of the best stays I've had in years. Highly recommended!

The Silver Sands Self Catering was a pleasant stay overall—clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff made the experience enjoyable. Our air conditioning wasn’t working properly, but the team responded quickly and resolved it right away, which was impressive. The only minor issue was some noise early in the morning, likely from nearby traffic or guests, but it didn’t ruin the trip. The location is convenient for exploring Durban, and the self-catering setup gave us flexibility and comfort. Great value for money, and I’d definitely consider returning.
