The surrounding area is packed with options: Takashimaya department store, pharmacies, cafes, restaurants—you can grab everything within steps. The room itself isn’t huge, but the view from the upper floor is unbeatable, especially at night when the city lights sparkle across the skyline. Daily cleaning was thorough, staff were friendly and attentive, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like quality toiletries and skincare sets. The bathroom was spacious with a relaxing bathtub—perfect for unwinding after a long day. Overall, the combination of location, comfort, and service made this stay truly memorable.

This hotel truly offers everything you’d want from a city stay—comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury. I’ll definitely be booking here again next time I visit Nagoya.

Freshly baked bread, warm miso soup, and freshly squeezed juice—all changed daily, so nothing ever felt repetitive. Staff were attentive and genuinely warm, and they even provided a small bottle of mineral water upon check-in. Clean, comfortable, and outstanding value for money—perfect for both business trips and sightseeing. I’ll definitely be returning next time I visit Nagoya!

The location of Meitetsu Grand Hotel is absolutely fantastic—getting around by train, bus, or even on foot is incredibly convenient. The hotel’s private elevator leads directly to the B1 level, where you’ll find HARBS bakery right next to the takeout counter, and just a short walk away is a bustling department store food court and direct access to the underground shopping complex. We stayed in a triple room, which was spacious and comfortable. The only downside was the soundproofing—some noise from the hallway could be heard, but it didn’t bother us much. The lighting in the room had a slightly yellowish tone, which made the space feel a bit dim, but again, that’s a minor issue when you consider how central and well-connected the hotel is. For travelers who value convenience and easy access to dining and shopping, this place is a real winner. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Nagoya.

Overall, this is a top-tier choice for comfort, location, and value—definitely recommend for anyone visiting Nagoya.

This place is perfect for solo travelers! The single room is surprisingly spacious—my 26-inch suitcase opened easily without feeling cramped. Right downstairs is a convenience store, so late-night snacks or essentials are just a quick step away. Walking to Sakae or Fushimi takes only about 10 minutes, and there’s even a nearby Ichiran Ramen shop—I couldn’t resist stopping by for a steaming bowl of their famous tonkotsu. The location is fantastic, the room is clean and quiet, and everything feels well thought out. For such a great price, the value is unbeatable. If you're visiting Nagoya alone, this hotel should be at the top of your list. Definitely coming back next time!
Daiwa Roynet Hotel NAGOYA-SHINKANSENGUCHI
The location is actually quite convenient despite the ongoing construction near Nagoya Station—just follow the right path, and getting to the hotel by subway is a breeze. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice TV that made for great evening relaxation. I was happy to see that we could pay via WeChat Pay, which was super convenient. One thing I noticed: no toothbrush was provided in the room—probably kept at the front desk or lobby, so just ask if you need one. As someone who travels often, I truly feel Japan is far safer than many places back home, let alone countries the government has promoted. My return check-in at Chūbu Centrair Airport was smooth and quick—no long queues, just straight through. I even had time to grab a delicious eel rice bowl before heading out. That said, Yatomi-dōri was packed with crowds, so we skipped the line and instead enjoyed some quiet moments exploring the area at our own pace.
