Descend to the ground level and you'll find a Fairprice supermarket along with a few small shops. Just across from the supermarket is 328 Katong Laksa, and right there on the street are cozy bars and local eateries perfect for a casual night out. Nearby is Jalan Besar, adding to the vibrant neighborhood feel. On the other side of the hotel, a short walk across the road leads to a bustling food court, Ah Kuan, McDonald's, and just a bit further, East Coast Park — one of the most relaxed seaside spots I’ve experienced in years. It’s got a much more authentic local feel than the bustling city center, yet getting to major attractions is super convenient—just 15 to 20 minutes by bus. The value for money is outstanding, and the staff went above and beyond by upgrading me to a double room without any extra charge. While the room isn’t large—understandably so given Singapore’s premium real estate—the quality, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches make it feel spacious and welcoming. I especially loved the Penakaran-inspired decor in the lobby, which adds a unique cultural flair. A great choice for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and character all in one.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of power outlets—no charging worries. The bathroom was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Staff were welcoming and helpful, especially Wee, who took the time to guide me to some great local eateries nearby. There are so many hawker centres around—plenty of halal and non-halal options to choose from. I also noticed several bakeries and pastry shops just a short walk away. Right in front of the hotel is a Fair Price supermarket, making it super convenient to grab anything you need. Everything’s within walking distance, which made exploring the area so easy. Great location, excellent value, and a very pleasant experience overall. Definitely planning to book again.

Staying in Singapore can be pricey, but this hotel offers great value at under $500 per night. The room is compact, and the bathroom lacks a dry/wet separation, plus there’s no bottled water provided. However, it comes with all the essentials: slippers, a safe, kettle, tea and coffee packets, and a fridge—true to the 'small but well-equipped' vibe. Only two large towels are provided, so I asked for extra ones at the front desk—they were happy to supply more. The Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, but occasionally you might encounter Indian staff who don’t speak Mandarin—having a few basic English phrases handy helps. Free apples are available for guests to take, though breakfast isn’t included. That said, there are plenty of food options nearby at local hawker centers. The room has both UK-style and universal power outlets, so my two-pronged plug from home works without any adapter. Overall, the stay was excellent—clean, convenient, and very satisfying. I’d definitely book again.

Even though the nearest MRT stop is a 10-minute walk away, it felt perfectly manageable given how lively and convenient the area is—there’s always something nearby, from eateries to shops. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional customer service. A big thank you to Joseph and Davin for being so friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our visit. Their support made our trip even more enjoyable. We’re already planning our return and can’t help but miss Singapore already. Definitely a top pick for future stays!

The stay was extremely disappointing. The front desk was completely unstaffed during business hours, forcing us to wait over two hours just to check in. We eventually received a code for the self-service locker but had to endure long delays and confusion. The room itself was filthy—dirty, with visible mold on the bed sheets and even worse, we spotted cockroaches. It felt unsafe and unhygienic. For the price paid, this was far from acceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, reliable stay.

Using Google Maps, you can easily find the nearby MRT and bus stops in just about 9 minutes. After check-in on the 7th floor, a quick glance outside the 1st-floor lobby reveals clear signage directing you straight to the nearest MRT station — just a 5-minute walk. The area around is vibrant, with a shopping mall and charming local streets full of great food and unique shops. Perfect for exploring on foot. I stayed on the 13th floor, and the room features floor-to-ceiling glass windows with stunning views. Hot water comes fast and flows generously, while the air conditioning is powerful and effective. The bathroom layout is smart and user-friendly — especially the surprise of a shower door doubling as the toilet door. That kind of thoughtful design detail really stood out. Singapore’s tap water is safe to drink, but having an added filter at the sink gives extra peace of mind. The vanity has both 110V and 220V outlets — perfect for international travelers — and even the toilet paper holder is a sleek stainless steel tray where you can place your phone. Small touches like these show how deeply they’ve considered guest needs. Singapore’s industrial design really shines here, turning practicality into everyday elegance. The room itself is minimalist yet perfectly functional. All light switches and charging ports are conveniently placed by the bed. Despite its compact size, there’s a fixed chair and a movable one, no sharp corners anywhere — everything feels intentional and well thought out. It’s proof that less can truly be more.
