We stayed at Menshikov Boutique Hotel in early December 2022, booked room #6 on the second floor. The moment we arrived, a friendly front desk staff greeted us warmly and handed over the key right away—no waiting, which was such a relief. The hotel is spotlessly clean and cozy, with a nice, welcoming atmosphere. There was a water dispenser right outside our room for easy access to fresh drinking water. Even though our room was corner-facing with two large windows, it stayed comfortably warm throughout our stay—no drafts or chilliness at all. Everything in the room was in perfect working order, from the lights to the AC. The bedding was crisp white and incredibly soft, and the towels, bathrobes, and slippers were all top quality. We didn’t bring much luggage, so the closet space was more than enough. The room also came equipped with a kettle, tea bags, and other essentials—very thoughtful. The location is excellent: close to metro stations and major attractions, making it super convenient for exploring Moscow. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with every aspect of our stay. It’s a hidden gem with great value, and I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.

But once you're out, it only takes about a minute to reach a small convenience store where you can grab snacks and bread. That said, the room isn’t luxury-level, which makes sense given how budget-friendly the rate was—my company had set a strict price cap, so this was my only option. The owner, a tall Russian woman with a distinctive face reminiscent of Angelina Jolie, was very welcoming. Her English was limited, so I used a translation app to communicate. When I arrived late at night and couldn’t locate the place, I messaged her on WhatsApp, and she kindly came out to meet me—truly a nice touch. Despite the modest accommodations, her warmth and helpfulness made a big difference. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for a no-frills, centrally located stay without breaking the bank.

Linens and towels were crisp and clean, and what stood out most was how spotless the kitchen, bathrooms, and showers were—everything felt new, well-maintained, and tastefully designed. The kids absolutely loved the little extras: sweet treats and access to their favorite cartoons on TV, which kept them happily entertained. Location-wise, it’s perfectly situated in the heart of the city, so everything we needed—from restaurants and shops to sightseeing spots—was just a short walk away. I also noticed there are many educational institutions nearby, making this an ideal choice for distance learners or students visiting Moscow. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave!
