The Convo Porto Hotel & Apartment
Staying at The Convo Porto Hotel & Apartment was a delightful experience, especially for couples. The room was compact but incredibly charming—cozy and stylish with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Communication via WhatsApp was prompt and efficient, making check-in and any inquiries hassle-free. While the hotel is a bit farther from the historic center than it initially appeared, it’s still very accessible by public transit. Breakfast was decent but nothing exceptional—fortunately, we discovered some fantastic local cafés nearby that made up for it. We regretted paying for breakfast after finding such great alternatives. Parking options are limited nearby, but the platform provided several paid and free alternatives, which helped. The only minor inconvenience was having to carry luggage in and out of the car due to heavy traffic on the street, but overall, this didn’t detract from the excellent stay. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway with great value and charm.
Live in Porto - 68 Regras
My stay at Live in Porto - 68 Regras was far from satisfactory. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable—hard as a rock and offered no support. The sheet had a visible tear, and during the night, my foot slipped through, which was both awkward and embarrassing 😂. The microwave plug was loose and didn’t work at all. The walls looked like they desperately needed a fresh coat of paint—peeling and worn out everywhere. In one room, the curtain rail completely collapsed, and there were no curtains to cover the window facing the sidewalk. We had no choice but to keep the blinds down and leave the lights on all night just for privacy. The light fixtures were so dim they seemed to be only one watt—barely enough to see by. Both bathrooms had broken shower arm supports, rendering them unusable. There was a persistent musty smell near the entrance, almost like dampness seeping through the walls. When I opened the door upon arrival, I noticed a very suspicious-looking person standing nearby—strange appearance, sketchy vibe. I mentioned it to Luis, who supposedly handles guest concerns, and he said he’d contact the water and electricity companies to see if they’d intervene. But we never saw him again. No luxury, no cleanliness, and definitely no sense of care. I can’t understand how some guests gave such high ratings—maybe they wrote their reviews after being visited by the 'light guy' himself? 😂

The apartment is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean—exactly what we were looking for. Located in a fantastic neighborhood, it's just a short walk to the metro, local shops, cafés, and a supermarket. In under 10 minutes, you can reach the bustling Rua Santa Catarina shopping street and the historic district—perfect for exploring. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, making check-in and any questions super easy. It’s clear they care about guest experience. This place offers great value and comfort, and I’d happily stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Porto!

There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and lively local spots right at your doorstep. The apartment is clean and well-maintained, with a cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home. A small touch-up on the interior would be nice if you're aiming for perfection, but overall, it’s a great stay—especially for travelers who value convenience and atmosphere.

Our hosts, Brenda and Christina, were incredibly warm and attentive—always ready to help, never too much trouble. Their hospitality truly made the stay memorable. The main bedroom is spacious and beautifully appointed, with a standout bathroom featuring natural stone finishes and a relaxing ambiance. The staff were incredibly welcoming—especially the woman who served breakfast, whose friendly demeanor and personal touch made the morning even more special. This isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a true retreat. Highly recommend for couples or anyone seeking a romantic, nature-inspired escape with top-tier comfort and attention to detail.
New Oporto Apartments - Cardosas
This apartment was easily one of the best stays we've ever had. The photos on the platform matched exactly what we found—plus a few extra surprises! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed: cookware, dishes, utensils, and even little extras like spices and condiments—all in perfect condition. The directions were incredibly detailed, complete with clear photos that made finding the place effortless, especially when arriving by public transit. Located just steps from the city center, it's ideal for exploring Porto without hassle. We loved every moment here and will definitely return. A top-tier choice for anyone visiting!
Miragaia House
This place was absolutely perfect! During our six-day stay in Porto, we explored the city center thoroughly and found Miragaia House to be in the most ideal location we could have hoped for. The room was tastefully simple with a cozy charm—featuring a small kitchenette and fridge that made storing local delicacies like cheese, ham, and port wine incredibly convenient. While the street along the riverfront can get busy during the day, it was peaceful at night thanks to excellent double glazing. The bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night’s sleep after a full day of sightseeing. Breakfast was outstanding: fresh fruit, yogurt, warm pastries, bread rolls, cured meats, cheeses, and eggs cooked exactly how you wanted them. Marta, Zuly, and their team were incredibly friendly and helpful—always ready to offer tips or assist with anything. We’ve already decided this is our go-to choice for Porto, and we’ll definitely be back!

Staying at PortoSense Ribeira was an absolute highlight of our trip to Porto. The location is unbeatable—literally steps away from the heart of the city’s charm, and we never felt the need to go far. The apartment itself has a wonderful character with a cozy, welcoming feel, and the full-length balcony overlooking Praça Ribeira is simply magical. Watching life unfold below from our private space was unforgettable. Hosts Christina and Filipe were incredibly responsive and helpful—from arranging airport transfers to giving us tips on navigating the narrow streets and avoiding traffic restrictions in the square. They even helped us store our luggage when we arrived earlier than expected. The queen-sized bed was super comfortable, and the elevator that goes straight to the door made getting in and out a breeze. (Just keep in mind: no elevators on the steep streets above!) One thing to note: there's no air conditioning, so we had to keep windows open during hot nights—while this brought in fresh air, it also meant some noise from the lively square, especially on weekends. Tall guests might find the shower area a bit tight. But honestly, these are minor trade-offs for such a perfect location and well-designed space. We loved walking along the Ribeira every day, strolling past the Palácio da Bolsa and up Rua das Flores. And don’t miss Miss Pavlova just across Rua de São João—only a 3-minute walk away. Their breakfast offerings are fantastic, and their pavlovas? Absolutely divine. This apartment isn’t just a place to stay—it’s part of the experience.

Staying at B the Guest Downtown in Porto was an absolute delight. The hotel’s central location makes it incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the train station and the famous Clerigos Church. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and beautifully designed with attention to detail. Staff went above and beyond with their friendly, attentive service—always smiling and ready to help. Breakfast was fantastic: a generous spread of fresh pastries, fruits, local cheeses, and hot dishes. Even better, they welcomed us with a large bottle of mineral water upon arrival—a small but thoughtful touch. Everything about this stay felt personal and exceptional. For a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality, this hotel is unbeatable. I’ll definitely be coming back.
