This was hands down the best hotel I stayed at during my multi-city trip across the region. The lobby bar has a cozy vibe, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Breakfast was exceptional—fresh, delicious, and well-presented, though it did come at a premium price. My room was beautifully designed with modern touches, and the bed was super comfortable. The only minor downside was that the air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted manually, which made temperature control tricky at times. That said, the location is fantastic—just a short walk to major attractions like Potsdamer Platz and Museum Island. It’s a bit farther from the nearest U-Bahn station, but city buses run frequently and get you there in no time. Overall, this hotel delivers on comfort, service, and convenience—definitely worth every penny.

Unfortunately, the room I booked at Quentin Design wasn’t available upon check-in. However, the front desk team handled the situation quickly and smoothly, reassigning me to a room at Quentin XL—just a short walk away but still a fantastic alternative. The space was spacious, stylish, and well-maintained, making it a great upgrade in my book. I’ll definitely choose Quentin XL for my next stay. The description of the other property should be updated to reflect actual availability more accurately. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout—exactly the kind of service that turns a minor hiccup into a positive experience. Overall, this place deserves every bit of its 9.5 rating.
Puschkin Rooms
The guesthouse is infested with bed bugs—this is not an exaggeration. We found them crawling even in the shared kitchen, which is centrally located and accessible from all rooms. The owner never showed up during our stay and has not responded to any messages since. We had to scramble to find another hotel just to get a safe place to sleep. Health authorities have already been notified to prevent further risks to future guests.

City Hotel Ansbach
This hotel desperately needs a full renovation—or maybe even demolition. From the very first moment, the elevator gave me serious pause; despite being on the 6th floor, I couldn’t bring myself to use it—felt too eerie. The room door was flimsy, thin, and wobbly, so much so that you could hear everything from inside, even with a second door between the hallway and bedroom. Let’s be honest—paying €250 for two nights, isn’t it asking too much to fix a hole in the wall? Sleep was impossible—uncomfortable bed, the temperature felt like a sauna, and the blanket? Honestly, what was that made of? The bathroom was actually decent, though a hairdryer would’ve been a nice touch (though summer made it less urgent). Overall, I’d never come back—not even if they paid me. But hey, the Wi-Fi was excellent. At least something went right.
Apartmenthouse Berlin - am Görlitzer Park
The apartment was clean and the bedding was comfortable, which made for a decent stay overall. However, the noise from the reception area was quite disruptive—constant door slams and chatter in the mornings made it hard to relax. The soundproofing could definitely be improved; I’d strongly recommend bringing earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise. The neighborhood felt a bit off too—there were shady characters hanging around on the streets and some questionable activity near the park. While the hotel isn’t at fault for the area’s vibe, travelers should do their own research before booking. It’s a solid option for budget-conscious visitors who don’t mind a lively urban setting, but those seeking peace and quiet might want to think twice.

Henri Hotel Berlin Kurfürstendamm
Staying at Henri Hotel Berlin Kurfürstendamm was a real highlight of my trip to Berlin. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Ku'Damm, with buses running all day and night, and the Zoo/Garten U-Bahn station close by. It’s in a quiet, well-lit, safe neighborhood, making it easy to explore even late at night. The room itself has charm and plenty of storage space—perfect for travelers with lots of luggage. I loved the big, comfortable bed, the Illy coffee machine, and the thoughtful touches like plenty of power outlets in convenient spots. The 24-hour front desk gave me peace of mind, especially when picking up my old-school key. The courtyard view is peaceful and adds character to the stay. Everything was clean and well-maintained. A few small improvements would make it perfect: adding a ramp at the entrance for easier luggage access (just a few steps up), upgrading to newer card keys, and installing USB charging ports. But honestly, these are just minor details—this hotel offers great value, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely book here again.
