Staying at Ming Garden Hotel & Residences always feels like a treat. The room is spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed is incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a busy week. Parking was a bit tight on Sunday, but since I was checking out that day, it wasn’t an issue. Overall, everything was excellent—from service to amenities. Plus, getting into town via public transport is straightforward. Overall, this hotel strikes a great balance between comfort, tranquility, and value—highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in Kota Kinabalu.

The building was originally designed as a high-end residential complex, but some owners have turned their units into short-term rentals, which has created major concerns for other residents. Now, it's unclear who’s staying next door—even security staff can’t keep track of guests. This lack of control likely stems from the developer cutting corners by not complying with the Housing and Development Act, especially in fire safety standards required for residential buildings. Management has already warned the homestay operators about the risks of unregulated visitors, yet they frequently change access cards to the elevator, parking area, and lobby. Constant noise—loud music and footsteps—echoes through the ceilings and hallways, as some guests use the space for parties or extended stays. Unlike reputable hotel chains with consistent service and safety measures, this place feels chaotic and unsafe. If you value peace, privacy, and security during your trip, avoid this property. Just visit Imago Mall, grab some souvenirs, and head back home without complications.

Despite its age, it’s been maintained incredibly well. The lobby feels spacious and welcoming, and the room itself was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The only downside was that my room type had no actual window—just a curtain—but when I opened it, I realized it just faced a wall. Still, since the room was quiet, well-equipped, and spotless, it didn’t really matter. Location-wise, it’s very convenient: there’s a 7-Eleven and several restaurants right nearby, and it’s less than a kilometer to Gaya Street. A short 10-minute drive gets you to the airport. Overall, the value for money is excellent. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable base in Kota Kinabalu without breaking the bank.

Everything was great overall! The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly. The only downside was that the pool was closed—apparently due to an unknown reason—which was a bit disappointing since my kids were really looking forward to swimming. Still, the room was comfortable, the location was convenient, and the value for money was excellent. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to families traveling with children.

Had a fantastic short stay at Airdence! The location is perfect—just a quick walk to Imago Mall and surrounded by great dining options. The host was incredibly friendly and made communication seamless throughout my visit. I especially appreciated the little touches like having a microwave in the room and a water dispenser available in the lounge area. It made my trip so much more convenient and comfortable. Truly a standout experience—would absolutely recommend and definitely return next time I'm in Kota Kinabalu.

Arrived in Kota Kinabalu late at night after an early flight, and chose this apartment hotel as a convenient overnight stop. I got a taxi right outside the airport for just MYR 30—only about 15 minutes to reach the property. Since it was so early, the security staff hadn’t arrived yet, but luckily ran into another guest heading out who helped me access the unit using the password provided by the host. The apartment itself is clean, well-equipped, and perfect for a quick layover. Everything you’d need is there—kitchenette, bedding, Wi-Fi—no complaints at all. The location is fantastic: right below Imago Shopping Mall, so dining and shopping are just steps away. And in under 5 minutes on foot, you’re at the beach—beautiful views, gentle sea breeze, ideal for relaxing after a long trip. Honestly, the value-for-money here is outstanding. I’d definitely come back if I ever visit Kota Kinabalu again.
