Staying at Royal Manotel in Geneva was an absolute delight, especially because of the unbeatable location. Just a short 5-minute walk from the train station, all on flat ground—perfect for travelers with luggage. It’s also only about 10 minutes to the lake, making it ideal for morning strolls or sunset views. The two Manotel hotels are right next to each other—both four-star—with this one feeling more modern than expected. I thought it might be more traditional, but the lobby does have that classic European charm while the rooms are sleek and recently renovated. The triple room was surprisingly spacious: one queen bed and a sofa bed. The mattress on the queen was incredibly comfortable, though the blanket on the sofa bed was a bit thin. Everything you’d want is included—slippers, bath cap, cotton swabs, toiletries, and even coffee capsules. The bathroom has heated flooring, which is a nice touch, though the AC in the room wouldn’t fully turn off—something we noticed upon arrival after a late check-in and had to sleep through. Breakfast was excellent—plenty of variety, including smoked salmon, cold and hot meats, and fresh golden kiwis that stood out. Bonus: there’s a piano in the lobby available for guests to play. It added such a personal, homely vibe. Overall, the comfort, convenience, and thoughtful touches made this stay memorable. A fantastic choice for anyone visiting Geneva.

I had early check-in arranged, and by the time I arrived in the afternoon, my luggage had already been kindly brought up to my room—such a thoughtful touch that really showed their dedication to guest comfort. It’s clear they truly value service excellence. The only minor drawback is the soundproofing, especially for rooms facing the street. While Geneva is relatively quiet after 11:30 PM, there’s still a slight hum of traffic audible through the walls. That said, it’s a small trade-off for the overall experience—great location, excellent hospitality, and fantastic value. Would definitely stay again.

The room itself was beautifully decorated with a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the mattress was perfect—just right for a deep, restful sleep. Breakfast was outstanding: fresh, abundant, and varied each day. The young servers were always busy, slightly serious but clearly dedicated and professional. This hotel delivers charm, comfort, and genuine hospitality in every detail. A standout experience I’d happily return to.

The overall experience was excellent! The only downside was the first night, when I shared a room with a guest who was constantly moving around on their knees, making loud phone calls until nearly 1 a.m., and repeatedly tapping their phone keys. There were also frequent loud door slams, which made it really hard to sleep. I had to rely on earplugs just to get some rest—otherwise, I would’ve definitely requested a room change mid-stay. Thankfully, I managed to switch rooms the next day, and the second night was peaceful and quiet—perfect for a good night’s sleep. The staff were very responsive and helpful throughout. The location is great, right in the heart of Geneva, and the hostel offers fantastic value for money. If they could improve room soundproofing a bit more, this place would be absolutely perfect.

The only minor downside is that the bathroom is shared among four or five units—a common setup in the city—but each room has its own shower and sink, plus a shared pantry area with kitchen facilities. Overall, it’s a great value stay with excellent convenience and comfort.
