Staying at San Peter Lory's Aparts was an absolute highlight of our trip to Rome! We only had one night there before heading home, but it was more than enough to fall in love with the place. As our first visit to Rome as a group of five, we found this apartment far more comfortable and affordable than booking multiple hotel rooms. It’s perfectly located—within walking distance to so many sights, restaurants, and shops. Just a few blocks away is a charming outdoor market where we spent a fun afternoon browsing for souvenirs and gifts for friends back home. The apartment itself was spotless, well-equipped, and had excellent air conditioning and a working elevator—huge bonuses in the summer heat. They anticipated needs and helped solve issues before we even asked. The location is unbeatable—everything in Rome is within easy reach. However, a crucial tip: if you're arranging airport transfers through any platform, avoid using the service provided by Ctrip for this hotel. The property is located in a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), meaning only authorized vehicles like taxis or local residents can drive directly into the area. Non-local drivers must walk about 10 minutes to reach the entrance. While taxis and Uber drop you right at the door, some transfer services don’t account for this restriction. I had my driver carry four suitcases for that distance—grueling but thankfully he was very kind and patient. This wasn’t the hotel’s fault; they clearly mention the ZTL situation on their official website. The issue lies with the tour operator not providing proper guidance about access challenges in restricted zones. Overall, the hotel is exceptional—just make sure your transportation plan accounts for the ZTL rule.

While the furnishings weren’t brand new, they were in good condition and gave a comfortable vibe. What really stood out was the location—right next to the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, just an 800-meter walk to the train station, making it super convenient for exploring the city or heading out. The value for money is excellent compared to other mid-range hotels in Rome. Best of all? Free luggage storage! This made our trip to Southern Italy and London so much easier—we didn’t have to lug around extra bags, and when we returned to Rome before flying home, we could simply drop off our luggage and enjoy a relaxed final day in the city.
