Staying at Hotel Medinaceli in Barcelona was an absolute highlight of my trip. The location is unbeatable—just a 4-minute walk to the heart of the city, with metro access and major attractions within easy reach. What really stood out was how recently the hotel had been renovated. Every detail, from the room design to the cleanliness and water pressure, felt fresh and top-notch. Even the staff restroom behind the front desk was spotless—something that genuinely surprised me! I stayed in rooms 406 and 407, which are spacious (26–29 sqm), though without breakfast, they come in at around $1200 per night. That said, I also checked out the ground-floor rooms (20–25 sqm)—slightly smaller but still very comfortable and significantly more affordable, priced around $800. The real surprise? The rooms looked even better in person than in the photos—crisp, modern, and impeccably clean. The last photo shows where we had tapas in Barcelona—highly recommended for any food lover. Just a few steps away is a fantastic seafood rice spot called Colom, which gets busy by lunchtime—worth the wait. The front desk team was friendly and helpful throughout, but special mention goes to Gargallo, the doorman who went above and beyond with his warm, proactive service. A truly memorable stay.

The neighborhood itself is quiet, safe, and very residential—perfect for a peaceful stay without being far from the city buzz. Everything about this place felt thoughtfully designed, and the overall value is outstanding. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Located in the Eixample district, the hotel is in a safe, central area—walking distance to major attractions, shopping spots, and restaurants. On our last day, we left our luggage at the front desk, and the staff went above and beyond by helping us call a taxi to the airport. Their friendly attitude and genuine care made all the difference. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and exceptional service—highly recommend for families or travelers looking for a home-like stay in Barcelona.
