Staying at Gran Hotel Opera was a great experience, especially considering the value for money. The hotel is perfectly located in Mar del Plata—just a short walk from the beach and downtown area, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortably furnished with modern amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. I highly recommend trying their lunch or dinner service—both are excellent options. The set menus include an appetizer, main course, and dessert, all thoughtfully prepared with classic hotel-style touches. The food was delicious, well-balanced, and portioned just right. Dining here during sunset with views of the sea made the meal even more memorable. Overall, Gran Hotel Opera offers a reliable, enjoyable stay that fits perfectly within its price range. Definitely a place I’d return to on future trips to Mar del Plata.

The hotel is about 20 blocks from the beach, which is a bit far, but it's located in a lively area with constant activity around. We parked our car outside every night without any issues—security has really improved since the local authorities relocated the previous transient groups. The owners are absolutely outstanding—11 out of 10 for service! Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, and the room cleanliness was top-notch. What stood out most was their genuine love for animals—there were stray cats and dogs around, and they clearly care for them. It’s rare to find such warmth and kindness in hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mar del Plata.

This stay was a complete disaster from start to finish. The entire room was soaked with moisture—walls, floors, even the bathroom was dripping. We weren’t given a single towel for bathing, and the sheets were old, stained, and clearly never washed. On the first night, there was no hot water at all—just freezing cold showers. The rooms weren’t cleaned during our stay, and we found ants crawling around in the bedroom, which was absolutely horrifying. The toilet was loose and wobbly, and the tiny two-by-two bathroom flooded every time we turned on the tap. The staff’s service was subpar—rude, indifferent, and completely unhelpful. This place felt more like a nightmare than a hotel. I’ve stayed in many places worldwide, but nothing comes close to this level of neglect. Do not stay here—avoid it at all costs.

This hotel is absolutely perfect! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach and close to all the local attractions. The owners and staff are incredibly warm and attentive, going above and beyond to meet every need. The room was completely renovated with a brand-new bed and modern bathroom—so comfortable and spotless. Cleanliness is outstanding; you can tell they take pride in their standards. I’ve stayed at many hotels before, but this one truly stands out. I’d return without hesitation and would even give it more stars if possible—it absolutely deserves it!

The location is fantastic for travelers without their own transportation. It's just steps away from the heart of Mar del Plata, and the garden facing the street is a real highlight—a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city center. While the room bathrooms and Wi-Fi could use some improvement—especially when many guests are online—the overall experience remains strong. Just like in 2019, my stay in January 2022 was still very satisfying, with great value for money and a welcoming atmosphere.

The service at Hotel di Sorrento is exceptional—especially since the ownership recently changed, and the new management has really stepped up their game. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to help with anything we needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a perfect balance of temperature and lighting. Located just a short walk from the metro station, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring downtown Mar del Plata. This place offers fantastic value and genuine hospitality. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Hotel Patio del Mar is a modest yet highly respectable choice for travelers visiting Mar del Plata. Located in a prime spot, it's just a short walk from the beach and close to public transit, making exploration easy and convenient. The rooms are simple but clean and well-maintained, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay without breaking the bank. What truly stands out is the exceptional service—staff members are friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Their warm hospitality makes a big difference in the overall experience. For budget-conscious travelers seeking value, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere, this hotel delivers on all fronts. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable base in Mar del Plata.

Staying at Hotel Los Troncos was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The property is beautifully set within a lush, spacious garden that feels peaceful and private—perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Mar del Plata. The breakfast was exceptional, fresh and delicious, served personally by the kind and attentive owners who made us feel right at home. We were especially grateful that parking was included with our booking—no extra hassle or cost. The rooms are cozy and well-designed, with comfortable beds and excellent soundproofing, ensuring a restful night's sleep. What truly stood out was the warm hospitality of the owners—they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even offering local tips and recommendations. It’s clear they take pride in their guest experience. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a genuine homely stay with heart. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mar del Plata.

Staying at El Aleph Hotel Boutique in Mar del Plata was an absolute delight. Located just a short walk from Varese Beach and only a few blocks from the larger beach, it’s perfectly positioned for seaside relaxation. This boutique-style hotel offers spacious, thoughtfully furnished rooms with a king-sized bed, plush pillows, and a generous bathroom featuring both a tub and shower — plus double sinks, which is a nice touch. Each room opens to a beautifully landscaped garden with two loungers perfect for soaking up the sun. The breakfast area is small but cozy, and since there are only six rooms, you’ll never feel crowded — we were often the only ones enjoying breakfast, even during peak hours. The breakfast itself was well-rounded and satisfying. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome without ever overstepping — warm, attentive, yet respectful of privacy. There’s also an internal parking area available for overnight stays, though cars need to be parked on the street during the day. Overall, this is a hidden gem ideal for a quiet, rejuvenating getaway. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, charm, and a peaceful escape.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and honestly, it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, things started going downhill. We mentioned our late departure on Sunday night and asked if we could leave our luggage for a few hours after check-out — the staff didn’t acknowledge it at first, then suddenly offered us an extra room charge of $10,000 (around $13,000) just to stay until midday, even though they hadn’t reserved anything. After that, their attitude completely changed — every small request felt like a burden. When we asked for toilet paper, it was handed over with clear annoyance. The room we were given was the ugliest in the entire hotel: ground floor, facing the courtyard directly across from the kitchen. The window couldn’t be opened — anyone walking by could see inside. The walls were damp, peeling, and the lighting was so poor you couldn’t even see yourself in the mirror. Cleaning was a joke — the nightstand wasn’t wiped at all, covered in dust that had clearly been building up for days. The shower had no curtain, so water soaked the whole bathroom. They left us with a broken hairdryer and a wet mop — drying the floor became a major chore. Breakfast? Just basic toast and two medialunas per person. On our final day, when we returned to drop off luggage, the staff acted as if we were inconveniencing everyone else, saying, 'Well, there are lots of other guests’ bags.' It felt like we weren’t real customers. We ended up having to go back after lunch, wasting time in the mall. To top it all off, right after leaving, we were nearly robbed — we had to run into a nearby shop for safety. Bottom line: Don’t stay here. Avoid prepayment unless you’re 100% confident — otherwise, you’re left powerless, with no way to fight back when things go wrong.

The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay feel personal and comfortable. The room was small but perfectly clean, with fresh linens, towels, and pillows—everything felt brand new. Water pressure was excellent, which made showers really enjoyable. Despite the compact size, the value for money was outstanding. It's just two blocks from Varese, so everything was super accessible—great for exploring the area. The breakfast was delicious and filling, and I loved the little garden space and the shared kitchen, which added a nice homey touch. Overall, an amazing experience—definitely planning to come back.

The hotel service was terrible, and the owner was extremely rude—completely unprofessional and refused to take responsibility for anything. The room was heavily damp, with peeling walls and a filthy atmosphere. The bathroom was disgusting: bugs stuck all over the fixtures, the toilet was leaking, and the floor was constantly dirty and wet. It felt like staying in a hazard zone. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone—your stay would be miserable. Avoid at all costs.
