We've been coming back to this magical hotel every year for the past decade, and finally found the time to write a review. The welcome we received was absolutely delightful—Sylvia, her family, and the entire staff are incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with a lovely atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. Location is great—easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and public transport. It's rare to find such consistent quality and heartfelt hospitality. Montinho de Ouro is an absolute gem nestled in the peaceful countryside of Lagos, Portugal. From the moment we arrived, the serene and picturesque surroundings instantly put us at ease. The highlight for us was starting each morning on the little balcony with a cup of coffee and breakfast while soaking up the sun—pure bliss. The room itself is beautifully designed with natural, earthy materials that give it a warm, authentic feel. It’s clear the owners care about details and sustainability. The kitchen is fully equipped, making it super convenient to prepare meals—perfect for families who want to cook together and enjoy home-cooked food in a relaxed setting. The space is generous, comfortable, and ideal for a quiet getaway or a family holiday. We couldn’t ask for more. This place truly feels like a hidden retreat, and we’ll definitely be back.
We spent two amazing months at Quinta Falzina and couldn’t be happier with our stay. The property was spotless, peaceful, and perfectly set in a quiet countryside setting—ideal for unwinding. A huge thank you to Fredo, who went above and beyond with his warm hospitality. He was always attentive, ready to help, and genuinely dedicated to making our experience comfortable. We arrived late one evening, and dinner along with breakfast were already waiting for us—a thoughtful touch we truly appreciated. The garden, chickens, goats, piglet Chipo, plus the friendly dog Lulu and cat Titan made it feel like a real country retreat. It’s not just a place to stay—it feels like home. Special thanks to Daniele and Patrick for their excellent communication and welcoming presence during our booking and visit. If health allows, we’ll definitely be back next year.
