The location is unbeatable: within minutes on foot, you're at the inner Alster Lake, right in front of the city hall. Excellent service, top-notch amenities, and unbeatable access to everything the city has to offer. I’ll definitely be back.

Our absolute favorite stay! As always, a wonderful experience at Hotel City House. The hotel is cozy and perfectly located in the heart of Hamburg—just steps from the subway and major attractions. We loved the charming little courtyard with free parking, which made our trip stress-free. The highlight? Their cozy “Pejsestue” (coffee nook) where you can enjoy a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate anytime. It’s such a welcoming touch. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the whole atmosphere feels homey and inviting. We’ll definitely be back—this place has become our go-to when visiting Hamburg!

Hotel Fresena im Dammtorpalais
Definitely not for anyone with claustrophobia! To reach the sink, you have to awkwardly squeeze sideways and then endure being tightly wedged between the shower wall and bathroom wall—truly uncomfortable and unsettling. The lack of space made it feel suffocating, and I felt genuinely uneasy throughout. It’s a nightmare experience I’d never want to repeat. Not worth the stay.
