Staying at Grand Elysee Hamburg was an absolute highlight of my trip to Hamburg. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk from Dammtor Station, making it super easy to get to the airport or downtown. I loved strolling around the neighborhood, with cozy cafés, boutique shops, and a really vibrant cultural vibe. Being in the diplomatic district, it’s quiet and safe, though there aren’t many nightlife options if you’re looking for late-night fun. My deluxe room was stunning—modern minimalist design with just the right touch of vintage charm. The brass lamps and velvet sofa added such a luxurious feel. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in tons of natural light, and the motorized blackout curtains are a game-changer for sleep quality. The mattress was a real treat—Hypnos, used by the British royal family, made for one of the most restful nights I’ve had in years. Plus, the free mini-bar stocked with non-alcoholic drinks and local snacks was a thoughtful touch. No need to buy anything extra. Everything about this stay felt premium without being over-the-top. 10/10—definitely coming back.

The only minor downside is the limited parking availability, so if you're driving, it’s best to book in advance. Overall, this hotel offers exceptional value, top-notch service, and a truly memorable experience. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Hamburg.

It’s become a second home for me. That said, after seven visits this year, it’s a bit disappointing that the staff still treats us like first-time guests every single time. They’re young, friendly, and professional, but there’s no real sense of personal connection or family-like atmosphere. Still, the overall experience is excellent—great for wellness travelers who value comfort and quality. Highly recommend if you're looking for a clean, well-equipped retreat in Hamburg.

Also, the air conditioning made some unusual noises from time to time, though it didn’t affect comfort significantly. One suggestion: placing trash bags inside the bins would make cleaning easier and more hygienic, as staff wouldn’t have to handle used tissues or other waste directly. The location is a bit unique and might not be ideal for families, but for solo travelers or business guests, this is definitely the best option in the area. I’d highly recommend it.
