Perfect for solo travelers! The hotel feels secure and well-organized, with separate floors for men and women—great for privacy. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, making the stay feel comfortable and relaxing. I really appreciated having access to a washer and dryer, which made packing light much easier. There’s also a water dispenser on every floor, so staying hydrated is effortless. With plenty of restrooms available and clean facilities throughout, it’s clear the management pays attention to detail. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I visit Taipei.
Backpackers Hotel Ximen
I was genuinely impressed with this hostel—better than I expected! The room is compact but has a private bathroom, which made my stay so much more convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—they went out of their way to answer questions and even gave me some great tips on nearby spots to check out. Location-wise, it’s super central—just a short walk or quick subway ride to Ximending, perfect for exploring the city. Clean, welcoming, and affordable—this place really delivers on value. Stayed at Dongmen 3 Capsule Inn on October 14th and was thoroughly impressed. The entire space was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything I needed. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the single capsule bed was surprisingly spacious—definitely more than enough room for a good night's sleep. The front desk staff, a young woman with a warm smile, went above and beyond to explain all the amenities and made me feel welcome right away. Her friendly attitude truly enhanced the experience. Located just minutes from the metro station, it’s super convenient for exploring Taipei’s main attractions. Highly recommend this hidden gem for travelers seeking comfort, cleanliness, and great value in a vibrant city setting.
Fun Inn Taipei
Staying at Fun Inn Taipei was a great experience overall. The hostel is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from Chenghuang Temple and the bustling Chengzhong Market, with easy access to the MRT station nearby. The place is clean and has a vibrant atmosphere that makes it feel welcoming. I stayed in a bunk bed room with two beds, and the layout made climbing up and down easy. However, there’s no private bathroom in the room—only one shared bathroom for all guests—and this meant morning routines could get a bit crowded as everyone queued to use it after someone else finished showering. It’s a small downside, but not deal-breaking. What really stood out was the staff—they were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. I’d definitely come back again!

This has to be the most thoughtful hostel I've ever stayed at. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how well-prepared they were for every need—free tea bags, coffee, toothpicks, cotton swabs, moisturizer, hair ties… even things I didn’t think to bring myself. The bathroom area is fantastic with five private rooms, and there’s a non-slip mat just outside each door—such a smart touch for safety and comfort. Kitchen essentials, hair dryers, washing machines, and a fridge are all available, plus everything you might not even realize you’d need. They require guests to change into indoor slippers upon entry, which really shows their commitment to cleanliness. The 6-person dorm is surprisingly spacious, and they’ve thought of everything—even including towel racks! Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just a 2-minute walk to Dihua Street, 5 minutes to Beimen Station, and less than 10 minutes on foot to Ningxia Night Market. Perfect for exploring Taipei’s vibrant streets and food scene. Everything about this place—from service to facilities to convenience—deserves a perfect score. If you’re visiting Taipei, this hostel is an absolute must-book.

Staying at CHECK inn Taipei XinYi was a great experience! The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Taipei 101, making it super convenient for exploring the bustling Xinyi district. There’s ample space to unpack two suitcases, which is a big plus when traveling. One small note: the sink and bed are only divided by a curtain, not a wall, so water can splash onto the bed if you're not careful. That said, it's manageable with a little attention. Across the street is a convenience store—perfect for late-night snacks or essentials. The hotel offers self-check-in, which is hassle-free and saves time. Overall, this place delivers excellent value, comfort, and convenience. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Taipei.

The place itself is clean and well-maintained, with spotless bathrooms and showers that make your stay comfortable. One thing to note: if you're sensitive to noise, you might hear some singing from the downstairs karaoke bar before 10 PM. Also, the air conditioning in the room runs very cold—definitely turned it down a bit and used extra blankets, which thankfully were provided. Overall, this is a great value for the location and quality. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in Taipei.

Even when we arrived late from customs, they kindly asked if we were having trouble finding our driver, which showed genuine care. Located just steps from Taipei Station, the hotel offers unbeatable convenience for exploring the city. Clean, well-maintained rooms, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere make this a top choice. I’ll definitely return next time I visit Taipei—highly recommend!

Stayed for one night on Thursday, and the price of around 7,000 JPY for two people was absolutely excellent value. The room had great soundproofing—no noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms, which made for a peaceful night’s sleep. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, keeping the room cool and comfortable throughout. All amenities were well-maintained and fully equipped, including quality toiletries and a reliable hairdryer. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—right in the heart of the neighborhood with convenience stores, cafes, restaurants, and grocery shops just a short walk away. Public transportation is super accessible too, making it easy to get around Taipei. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I’d definitely book again if I’m back in Taipei. Highly recommend!

When I noticed the fridge wasn’t working, I reached out to the front desk, and they responded promptly and with genuine kindness—within minutes, the issue was sorted. The staff’s attention to detail and warm service made a big difference. It’s a fantastic choice if you're looking for comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere in Taipei. Definitely planning to come back.
