I couldn’t resist trying the Xucheng Mooncakes nearby—they’re absolutely worth it! There’s also a great local noodle shop, Huajiao Restaurant, just steps away, serving hearty, authentic dishes. The hotel itself has a rich history—it’s said to be Suzhou’s first five-star hotel, and its rooftop restaurant used to be a well-known landmark. Despite its heritage, the pricing feels very reasonable and fair. The room was clean, comfortable, and the overall vibe made me feel right at home. In fact, the Intime Mall is only a 10-minute stroll away, so dining and shopping are hassle-free. The facilities are modern and comprehensive—USB charging ports in the room, smart devices, a well-equipped laundry area, and a fully functional fitness center. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is here. Cleanliness is outstanding: no dust in the corners, crisp and fresh bedding with zero odors, and a perfectly separated bathroom that makes everything feel safe and hygienic. The service stands out too—the front desk staff checked us in quickly and efficiently, and Guo Jing was especially warm and attentive.
