One of the best hotel experiences I've had during my travels—definitely exceeded all expectations. I usually stick to budget hostels and mid-range hotels, but decided to treat myself at this stage of my trip to Agra. To my surprise, it still fit perfectly within my budget, and I was absolutely blown away by the level of service. I arrived early and was offered an early check-in without any hassle. The Taj Mahal is just a short walk away—perfect for morning visits when the crowds are smaller. Every staff member, from front desk to security and housekeeping, was incredibly polite and attentive. Staying at Friends Guest House was an absolute highlight of my trip to Agra! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—like family from the moment we arrived. Owner Yusuf, a government-licensed tour guide, took the time to listen to our interests and personally crafted a customized itinerary for us. He even joined us on our sightseeing adventures, making the experience so much more enjoyable. He also made sure we were safe by keeping an eye out for any unwanted attention, while capturing some stunning photos along the way—truly thoughtful! The room had a spacious bed and was super comfortable, with clean, quiet surroundings. There are plenty of cozy areas throughout the property where you can relax and unwind at your own pace. What truly sets this place apart is its incredible location—just a 1-kilometer walk from the Taj Mahal, and you can even see it from the rooftop terrace. Watching the sunrise over the iconic monument from there was unforgettable. This isn’t just a hostel—it’s a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Agra!

This was our first homestay experience in India, and we were genuinely impressed. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They served delicious homemade meals at very reasonable prices—fresh, flavorful, and a great value. If you're looking for something different, there are plenty of local restaurants within walking distance. The location is unbeatable—just a 10-minute walk to the Taj Mahal, which made morning visits for sunrise absolutely effortless. Everything about this stay was perfect: the hospitality, the food, the convenience, and the peaceful atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for more. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Agra.

I really didn’t want to leave a negative review, but I feel compelled to warn others after what happened. My group of four traveled to Agra for a seminar starting at noon, and we had booked this hotel online in advance—fully paid upfront for three nights. When we arrived for check-in, the front desk staff refused to honor our reservation. A tall, dark-skinned employee stood there and demanded an extra ₹2,000 just to get in. I explained we already paid everything and asked why we’d have to pay more. He simply said, 'Pay up or leave now.' We were running late, so after pleading and trying to reason with him, he finally agreed—but only if we paid another ₹1,000. We reluctantly complied. Then came the worst part: the room was filthy, absolutely unclean. We asked for another one, but were told no rooms were available. They directed us to contact customer support instead. What followed was two hours of frustration—three different agents passed us around like a hot potato. Each one sent us to worse hotels, none of which met our needs. We made it clear we didn’t want any Oyo-affiliated properties anymore and insisted on a refund. Only after prolonged back-and-forth did one agent agree to process the refund. While I ultimately decided not to take legal action due to personal reasons, the entire experience left me deeply disappointed. The lack of professionalism from both the hotel and the platform is unacceptable. If you're considering booking here, go in with eyes wide open—don’t trust online listings blindly.

Zostel Agra is a solid choice for budget travelers looking for a friendly, laid-back vibe. The hostel has a charming interior with a cozy, local feel, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful—especially manager Navinsinb, who went above and beyond to assist with every request. The view from the upper floors is fantastic, offering a peaceful glimpse of the city skyline, and the free Masala chai served in the common area is a delightful touch. The only downside was the shower towels, which felt quite dirty—something that could definitely be improved. Overall, it’s a great value stay if you’re not looking for luxury but want a clean, social atmosphere with easy access to major attractions. It’s perfect for solo travelers or groups wanting to connect with other adventurers. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone exploring Agra on a budget.

This charming little homestay in Agra is run by a warm and welcoming family who truly go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The owner, Arif, and his son Rayyan are incredibly kind and always ready to help. Their staff are attentive without being intrusive, and the food prepared by Arif’s wife and older daughter is delicious—authentic local flavors done right. Bashir, the tuk-tuk driver, is a gem; he’s reliable, friendly, and knows all the best routes. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and well taken care of throughout my stay. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet just a short distance from the Taj Mahal. It’s the perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality—highly recommend for anyone visiting Agra.

Staying at this homestay in September was an unforgettable experience. The host, Ali, is simply amazing—warm, incredibly kind, and highly professional. The room was beautifully decorated with great taste and spotlessly clean; I truly didn’t want to leave. I wish I had stayed longer so I could have tried the delicious home-cooked meals prepared by his wife—definitely a must-try on my next visit! What made it even more special was how Ali kept sharing stunning photos of the flowers on his lovely terrace. It felt like being part of a quiet, peaceful home away from home. If you're visiting Agra, this place is a gem—exceptional hospitality, serene atmosphere, and genuine warmth. I’ll be back!

The room size was adequate for our short stay, and since this is a budget-friendly property, I didn’t expect anything luxurious. The location is convenient—just a short walk from major attractions like the Taj Mahal, making it ideal for travelers on a tight schedule. Breakfast was surprisingly good—fresh, well-prepared, and offered a decent variety. However, the lack of housekeeping throughout our entire stay was disappointing. We never had clean towels, fresh linens, or even basic tidying up, which made the experience feel less than hygienic. If the staff improved their cleaning routine, this hotel could be a solid choice for budget-conscious visitors who prioritize location and value over luxury. As it stands, it’s a decent option if you’re not too particular about cleanliness.

Staying at this hostel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Agra. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the Taj Mahal, making it incredibly convenient for early morning visits. The staff couldn’t be more welcoming or helpful. When there was a language barrier, they simply called the owner, Bobby, who speaks flawless English and quickly resolved any issue. Everything about the place works perfectly: the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, the air conditioning keeps the room cool and comfortable, and the rooftop terrace is stunning. With two levels, the upper deck offers a breathtaking view of the Taj Mahal and the surrounding neighborhood—watching monkeys swing through the trees from up there is pure entertainment. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s part of the experience. Highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting Agra.
