I booked this place after seeing the buzz online about the popular chicken cage spa—plus, the in-house spa offer made it even more appealing, so I didn’t have to go searching elsewhere. The pool area was spotless and well-maintained—definitely a 10/10 in that department. The room was spacious with a lovely European-style design, and the shower had powerful water pressure—perfect for someone who appreciates details. Natural light flooded in, making the space feel bright and airy. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout check-in and check-out. It’s conveniently located not too far from the airport, and right outside the hotel, there are great local breakfast spots and BBQ stalls—flavorful and authentic. Overall, an outstanding stay with excellent value. Definitely coming back!

For dinner, we highly recommend the nearby grilled street food spot—just a 2-minute stroll away. It’s safe, affordable, and not tourist-trap priced. Even more impressive was the staff’s kindness—they quickly provided antihistamine medication when my son got bitten by a mosquito and had a reaction. Their prompt and caring response made a big difference. This place truly delivers on comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality. A 10/10 experience—we’ll definitely be back.

The location is excellent—super convenient for getting around Chiang Mai, just a short walk from the city center. The room was spotless and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It’s a great value for the price. The only downside was one of the beds creaked loudly whenever I moved, like it might break at any moment. Still, this small issue didn’t take away from the overall fantastic experience. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in Chiang Mai.

Mat and Khaek made our arrival in Chiang Mai unforgettable—they picked us up from the bus station and generously shared local tips that helped us plan every part of our trip. Khaek arranged a reliable driver at an excellent rate, making it easy to explore places like the hot springs, elephant sanctuary, and scenic monk trails. Breakfasts prepared by Mat were a highlight—creative, delicious, and thoughtfully tailored to my vegetarian and fish-friendly preferences. While the property is located outside the city center, getting around is simple: Grab rides cost just 125 baht, and there’s a fantastic Japanese restaurant nearby that Mat kindly drove us to and from. Their hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine warmth made us feel right at home. A truly memorable stay with a personal touch.

I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, refreshing escape in Chiang Mai.
Rajapruek Place
This wasn’t our first visit to Rajapruek Place, and it definitely won’t be our last. To truly appreciate everything the gardens have to offer, plan for several hours—there’s so much to see and experience. When we arrived, the park was almost empty, with only a loud tour group ahead of us who had just finished their 30-minute guided circuit. They were clearly allowed early access, which made for a peaceful start to our day. As always in Thailand, foreigners pay more than locals—200 THB versus 100 THB for Thais (no matter how long you’ve lived here, you’re still considered an outsider). The parking area is massive and completely quiet during off-peak times—perfect for hassle-free arrival. A helpful map is provided, and electric shuttle buses run every 15 minutes on a hop-on, hop-off basis. We opted to walk most of the way, though if you're visiting in the afternoon, the heat can get intense. Take your time—don’t rush! The orchid house is the first real highlight: breathtakingly beautiful, especially for orchid lovers. Bring a fully charged phone or camera—this is one place where you’ll want every shot. There are themed areas too, including an international garden section showcasing designs from different countries. While a few spots felt slightly neglected due to low visitor traffic, the overall quality remains impressive. The Royal Pavilion is well worth a visit—its elegant architecture and excellent views over the entire park make it a must-see. From there, either take the shuttle or walk toward the shaded paradise and skywalk for a cool, relaxing break amid lush greenery. The rose garden was past its peak, likely due to dry weather, but still featured some stunning blooms. Several cafes are scattered throughout, though some were closed. The one we visited had painfully slow service—my partner had nearly finished her drink by the time mine arrived, and no smile was offered. Still, after spending hours wandering through this botanical gem, we left utterly exhausted but deeply satisfied. We’re already counting down the days to return.
