The setup actually includes two separate rooms—a king bedroom and a twin bedroom—connected by a door, giving us the privacy we needed while still being able to move freely between spaces. The hotel has clearly been recently renovated—everything is brand new, from the furnishings to the bathroom fixtures, and the overall ambiance feels luxurious and modern. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Ku'Damm, with buses running all day and night, and the Zoo/Garten U-Bahn station close by. It’s in a quiet, well-lit, safe neighborhood, making it easy to explore even late at night. The room itself has charm and plenty of storage space—perfect for travelers with lots of luggage. I loved the big, comfortable bed, the Illy coffee machine, and the thoughtful touches like plenty of power outlets in convenient spots. The 24-hour front desk gave me peace of mind, especially when picking up my old-school key. The courtyard view is peaceful and adds character to the stay. Everything was clean and well-maintained. A few small improvements would make it perfect: adding a ramp at the entrance for easier luggage access (just a few steps up), upgrading to newer card keys, and installing USB charging ports. But honestly, these are just minor details—this hotel offers great value, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely book here again.
The Bob W Mitte hotel is absolutely lovely—clean, well-maintained, and located in a great spot for exploring Berlin. The only downside I noticed was the phone-based door locking system, which felt a bit impractical. If your phone battery dies or the device malfunctions, you’re locked out—no way in. It’s also a hassle that you need to open a Wi-Fi link every time to lock the door. If the network drops or you’re without mobile data, you can’t secure the room either. Personally, I’d prefer if the same access code used at the bottom of the door worked from the top as well. That said, these are minor gripes. The hotel itself is excellent overall—great comfort, smart design, and fantastic value. Definitely worth staying at if you're visiting Berlin.
