The Orizontes Hotel in Santorini is an outstanding choice for a memorable stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm and polite service. The hotel’s location is perfect—close to town yet quiet enough to relax. Our room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed with views of the caldera. The only small suggestion would be to include more vegetable options at breakfast, as that’s the one area where it could be improved. Overall, though, this place exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Santorini.
The Zen Villa
The overall stay at The Zen Villa was enjoyable and well worth it. Nicole, our host, went above and beyond by stocking the fridge with breakfast essentials and providing bottled water—something we appreciated since tap water isn’t safe to drink here. That said, a few areas could be improved. First, communication around housekeeping needs to be clearer. We ran out of tissues, but since we weren’t informed about the 7 PM cutoff for requests, the restock didn’t happen until noon the next day. Second, the laundry service charged $21 per bag, but they sorted clothes by color without warning, leading to a total of $65 for just three bags. Whites weren’t properly cleaned (no bleach used), and some items were still damp when returned. Pickup was promised in the morning but didn’t happen until afternoon. Third, dining options nearby are limited. A short Uber ride to beachside restaurants takes less than 10 minutes, but round-trip costs $154—quite steep. Plus, due to the property’s off-road location, many drivers couldn’t find the entrance and we had to walk 3 minutes to meet them. Lastly, the lower-level bathroom and bed furnishings feel outdated and could use a refresh. Despite these points, there were plenty of positives: daily housekeeping, excellent private yacht arrangements, stunning views, friendly staff, smooth airport transfers for our group of eight, a lovely adult-sized pool, and a cozy fire pit area perfect for evening relaxation. Overall, the experience was strong, especially for those who value privacy, nature, and personalized service.

Staying at Smy Santorini Suites & Villas was an absolute delight. The panoramic views of the caldera and the endless blue sea from our room were breathtaking—especially at sunrise. Our four-person suite was generous in size, well-furnished, and had a stunning sea view that made every moment feel special. The sofa bed could be slightly more comfortable, but it worked fine for us. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant, where the food was fresh, flavorful, and full of local charm—particularly the seafood dishes, which were simply outstanding. The staff went above and beyond with their warm hospitality, always ready to help with recommendations or arrangements. Milos Villas Hotel
Staying at Milos Villas Hotel was a highlight of my Santorini trip. Located just a 15-minute walk from Fira, the hotel offers excellent access to the island’s main attractions and makes getting around incredibly convenient. I booked the traditional windmill room—charming in design, but the staircase to the second floor was steep and challenging, especially with luggage. The bathroom was extremely compact; even for someone of average build, using the toilet felt awkward and cramped. That said, the staff were exceptional—always friendly, attentive, and eager to help. Their warm hospitality truly made up for the room’s limitations. If you’re visiting Santorini and looking for a welcoming, well-located stay with genuine service, I’d highly recommend this place.

Staying at B Suites in Santorini was an absolute highlight of my trip. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with a stunning view of the Aegean Sea—especially magical at sunset. The location is perfect: just a 15-minute walk from the town bus stop, and despite the quiet streets being a bit dark at night, I felt completely safe throughout my stay. No kettle in the room—but honestly, that didn’t affect my experience much since the hotel provided hot water dispensers nearby. Overall, this place offers incredible value, excellent service, and a memorable atmosphere. If you're looking for a peaceful yet central base to explore Santorini, this is definitely the spot.
Karpimo Horizon - Caldera View with Private Hot Tub
We stayed at Karpimo Horizon, a unique cave house with stunning caldera views, and while the location and overall size of the property were definitely a highlight, our experience didn’t live up to expectations. The unit itself feels outdated and in need of renovation—especially the kitchen, which was tiny and poorly equipped. During our four-night stay, we received no housekeeping services, no trash removal, and the outdoor patio remained uncleaned throughout. It’s disappointing when you’re paying for a private retreat but get zero support from the team. We’ve visited Santorini four times now and have seen many better options with more thoughtful service and upkeep. While the setting is undeniably beautiful, we can’t recommend this villa or plan to return. There are plenty of other places on the island that offer a much better balance of comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Staying at Sensyo Caves was an interesting experience—its cave-style design and unique setting in Santorini are definitely memorable. However, the lack of air conditioning made it quite uncomfortable during warmer evenings, especially since the rooms stay hot without proper cooling. The Wi-Fi connection was also very weak, making it hard to stream videos or even check messages reliably. While the location offers a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path vibe with stunning views, it’s not ideal for travelers who rely on strong internet or need a cool, comfortable room. If you're looking for something more rustic and don’t mind basic amenities, it could be a good fit. But for those prioritizing comfort and connectivity, this place might fall short.

The reviews don’t do this place justice. Our junior suite was charming and offered great value for the price we paid. While it’s on the smaller side, it was clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly comfortable. The rooftop hot tub was a highlight—perfectly warm and ideal for relaxing while soaking in the breathtaking caldera views. Location-wise, it’s fantastic—close to town yet tucked away in a quiet spot with minimal noise. That said, finding the entrance can be tricky at first glance. Our only real downside was the check-in process—we arrived late and had no one available to greet us. Calls went unanswered, which caused some stress. It would also be helpful to have a small kettle in the room and a quick info sheet with Wi-Fi details and departure instructions. Despite those minor hiccups, the stunning views, cozy vibe, and overall experience make this a standout stay. Definitely worth considering if you’re looking for something unique and authentic in Santorini.
San Giorgio
Staying at San Giorgio was a fantastic experience. The hotel is perfectly located—just steps away from a bakery, McDonald’s, several restaurants, and local shops, so everything you need is within walking distance. I loved the rooftop area with panoramic views and the inviting pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. It’s also just a short walk from the bus station, making it super easy to get to OIA airport in about 20 minutes by public transit. Clean, friendly staff, great value, and a charming atmosphere—this place truly delivers. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Santorini.

My stay at Cyclades Hotel in Santorini was absolutely perfect. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. Breakfast was a highlight: abundant, fresh, and varied, offering something for everyone. What truly stood out was the genuine kindness of the staff. When I accidentally left my passport and cash in the safe upon check-out, the hotel went above and beyond to retrieve everything—yes, even the owner personally handled the situation. That level of care and attention, especially after checkout, is rare and deeply appreciated. I can't thank them enough. This isn't just a great hotel—it's a place where hospitality shines through every detail. I wholeheartedly recommend Cyclades Hotel to anyone visiting Santorini. 10/10 experience, no doubt.
Central Fira Suites
Staying at Central Fira Suites was an absolute highlight of our trip to Santorini. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of Fira, making everything—from the famous blue-domed churches to the nearby beaches—just a short walk away. We loved how convenient it was to explore on foot, and the local dining options were fantastic, including a few great Chinese restaurants for variety. Unfortunately, we experienced a small earthquake during our stay, which temporarily restricted access to parts of the town and the beach area. Despite that, the island’s scenery remained breathtakingly beautiful, and with fewer crowds, we actually enjoyed a more peaceful and intimate experience. It felt like we had the place almost to ourselves. The hotel itself was comfortable and well-maintained, and the views from our room were stunning. Definitely a top choice if you’re looking for a central, relaxing base with incredible surroundings.
