We arrived at Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill around 10 a.m. and were planning to drop off our bags before heading out, but the front desk staff—kindly an older gentleman—went out of his way to check availability and actually let us check in several hours early! That was such a pleasant surprise, and he even wished us a great time on our trip to Brisbane and hoped we’d come back again. Honestly, I was a little nervous before checking in because I’d seen mixed reviews, but the room exceeded my expectations—spacious, spotlessly clean, and with amazing views of the sunset from the window. The only thing? You do have to walk up a few steps since the hotel is situated on a hill, but it’s worth it for the quiet atmosphere and gorgeous skyline. On the ground floor, there’s a cozy bar and restaurant where we had dinner—ordered their steak with a glass of red wine, which came in at around $55 AUD. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and delicious. Everything about this stay felt warm and welcoming. If I ever return to Brisbane, this will definitely be my top choice. Thank you, Australia, for another unforgettable experience filled with sunshine and genuine kindness.

I want to sincerely thank the front desk staff for their incredible patience and kindness. My English isn't very strong, but they went above and beyond to help me with everything—especially one gentleman from Hong Kong who even helped translate the restaurant menu. That was such a thoughtful touch! The chef, KK, is actually Chinese, and he personally customized dishes for us—perfectly suited to our taste. The pizza was delicious, and the yogurt fruit salad was fresh, generous in portion, and absolutely refreshing. A real highlight! The only downside was the airport shuttle: it costs $8 and sometimes waits up to 30 minutes, which isn’t ideal. Taxis to the airport run around $20, which feels a bit steep. Still, despite that small issue, the overall experience was excellent. The hotel is well-located, clean, and staff are genuinely welcoming. If transportation were improved, this would be a perfect stay. Highly recommend for travelers looking for comfort and great service.
