The hotel is spotless and the soundproofing is surprisingly effective—despite being near a marathon route, we heard absolutely no noise. Early check-in was arranged without any hassle, and the staff were friendly and helpful. That said, since there are only two people working at the front desk during peak times, it can take a bit longer to check in or ask questions. But checking out is super easy—you just drop your key into the box at the counter. The location is excellent: just a short walk from Alexanderplatz U-Bahn station, where you’ll find a convenience store for drinks and snacks. Note that free bottled water isn’t provided, so bring your own. While the bus to East Side Gallery requires a bit of walking, getting to other major sights is quick and straightforward, and heading to the airport means no transfers needed. There’s also a great variety of dining options nearby—within a 10-minute walk, you’ll find several Asian restaurants and even more coffee shops. One thing to avoid: the McDonald’s right next to Alexanderplatz. Limited menu, overpriced, mediocre food, and no seating—just takeout, which is frustrating. Definitely skip this one.

The stay was excellent overall! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Berlin Hauptbahnhof, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a great bed that made for a restful night's sleep. The only minor downside is that there’s no kettle provided in the room, which might be a small inconvenience for guests who like to start their day with a cup of coffee—especially those from cultures where morning coffee is a must. That said, it doesn’t take away from the fantastic experience. The value for money is outstanding, and I’d definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

The apartment is spacious and housed in a beautifully preserved 19th-century building, which adds character to the stay. That said, the beds were too soft for our taste; my husband ended up sleeping on the fold-out sofa, which was much more comfortable. The duvets were also quite small and short—smaller than a standard single size—so they barely covered us during the night. One important note: there’s no TV in the unit, just a computer monitor. If you plan to watch shows or movies, bring your own laptop. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was positive, especially given the central location and room layout.
