The hotel is literally steps from Dengshikou Metro Station, making public transit incredibly convenient. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Our room was on a high floor, offering breathtaking views of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park—waking up to that skyline view every morning was pure joy. Watching the sunset over the city's historic axis in the evening was unforgettable. I accidentally left behind a toiletry bag containing a significant amount of cash in my room, and I was extremely anxious at first. To my great relief, every staff member involved—from housekeeping team member Shiyuan, shift manager Zhang Lei, security officer Qin Yanling, to front desk agent Zoey—went above and beyond to help locate and return my belongings. Not only was everything recovered, but the cash remained untouched. Under the leadership of Manager Bai Lu, this team demonstrated an outstanding level of integrity, professionalism, and dedication. It’s rare to encounter such genuine care and responsibility in a luxury hotel setting. This experience made me fall even more in love with InterContinental, especially this property in Sanlitun. The location is unbeatable, the service is top-tier, and the attention to detail is unmatched. Among the Crowne Plaza properties in Beijing, this Sun Palace location has consistently stood out for me—maybe because it feels newer compared to others like YouTang, Zhongguancun, or Lido. The overall facilities and room design are modern and well thought out, making the stay genuinely comfortable. It's conveniently located just outside the Northeast 3rd Ring Road, with easy access to subway stations nearby—perfect if you're relying on public transit. Driving in? Parking is only 40 RMB per day, which is very reasonable. Right now, the lobby is beautifully decorated with a stunning Christmas tree and festive touches throughout—definitely sets a cheerful mood. The elevators automatically light up your floor when you swipe your key card—a nice tech touch. Room space is generous, clean, and well-organized, with both shower and bathtub available. Even small details like alcohol wipes, toilet seat covers, and bath mats were thoughtfully provided. Only minor note: the hairdryer wasn’t the most powerful. The rooftop lounge on the 23rd floor offers afternoon tea and happy hour for guests with privileges—great for unwinding. Breakfast at the ground-floor restaurant was fantastic: a wide variety of coffee options, freshly made, plus an unexpected highlight—hard-boiled eggs already peeled! There’s also a great selection of soups, main dishes, desserts, and drinks. The 25-meter pool is spacious and well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat. Staff service was excellent throughout—special thanks to Alice at reception, who was incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, this was one of the best stays I’ve had in Beijing, and I’ll definitely be back.
