Yes, the immediate sea view is currently blocked by construction, but getting to nearby attractions is super convenient via taxi—especially Ferringhi Bay, where we cut travel time in half. If you're planning multiple nights in Penang, I’d strongly recommend splitting your stay between here and George Town. This place offers better value, comfort, and a more relaxed vibe than the city center, making it an ideal home base for exploring the island.

The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a spacious living room, leading straight into a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table and everything you need for cooking—plus two washing machines and a private shower bathroom tucked right in the kitchen area. There's even a single bed tucked beside the kitchen, perfect for extra guests. Upstairs, two rooms each come with their own private bathroom—one has a double bed plus two twin beds at different heights (not bunk beds, just staggered), while the other features a large double bed. In the hallway between them, there’s a generous tatami mat that doubles as extra sleeping space or a cozy lounging spot. Everything is clean and thoughtfully arranged, with complimentary toiletries and bath towels provided. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just step out of the alley and turn left: a local teahouse serves amazing char kway teow and soup noodles, then keep going to a motorcycle repair shop where you can buy SIM cards and get them activated on the spot. Turn right instead, and you’ll find street food stalls offering delicious curry noodles and more. While it’s a bit of a walk to the famous mural alley (especially with kids), adults will have no problem enjoying the scenic streetscape and snapping great photos. Overall, this place offers incredible value, comfort, and authenticity—definitely a top pick for travelers who want a homey, local vibe without sacrificing convenience.
