Yes, rates are on the higher end, but every amenity justifies the price—especially for the top-tier suites, where the list of perks is so extensive it’s almost overwhelming to remember them all. I’ve stayed in some incredible places before, including the Penthouse Pasaje at Las Alcobas, which remains one of the most impressive suites in the city. But overall, Casa Polanco delivers something deeper—a unique blend of warmth, sophistication, and attention to detail that truly sets it apart. If you’re looking for a memorable stay in Mexico City, this is the place.

The window had an almost blackout roller shade (with a side track to prevent light leakage), which made for a very peaceful sleep despite being on a busy street. Although there was no air conditioning, it wasn’t necessary—the weather was mild during my visit, especially with the rainy season in full swing. I arrived early and was able to drop off my luggage at 12 PM, even though check-in wasn’t until 3 PM—free baggage storage is a great perk. For early check-in, there’s an extra fee of around 500 MXN (~$25 USD), so worth noting if you’re planning ahead. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my stay. My only minor concern was the bathroom floor—it’s glass tile without anti-slip coating, so walking barefoot can be risky. Also, the shampoo and soap bottles are fixed on the wall opposite the shower, meaning you have to walk back and forth each time you need to grab them. This could be slightly dangerous, especially with the non-slip surface. Still, considering I booked for just 910 MXN (~$45 USD) instead of the regular rate of 1,400 MXN (~$70 USD), the value was outstanding. At full price, I’d have considered it average—but at this rate? Absolutely worth it. A fantastic choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and great pricing.
