Sure, the room is more compact compared to other luxury hotels, but the view of the Liangma River from the window makes every moment feel special—so serene, so picturesque, I can’t help but linger by the window. The highlight? The lounge’s afternoon tea and dinner. The food is exceptional—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and far beyond what you’d expect at many five-star properties. On New Year’s Day, I was delighted to see service staff Feng Xiangchao again. He remembered my preference for warm dishes and kindly heated up the seafood before serving—such thoughtful attention to detail. The next day, another team member, He Xu, took time to recommend the best desserts and gently reminded parents to watch the kids—small things that show how genuinely care about guests’ comfort. During dinner, I met a couple with their child, who shared they also make it a habit to visit a luxury hotel every weekend. After trying several places, they keep coming back to Kempinski—not just for the food or rooms, but because of the warmth, the genuine hospitality, and that sense of home. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a sanctuary. A place where stress melts away, and memories are made. This year, we’ve already booked our Lunar New Year stay. The location makes it ideal for both business travelers and tourists. Even though it’s part of the Metropark brand, guests can still earn IHG Rewards points and enjoy member benefits—a nice perk many might not expect. The hotel has a bit of vintage character in its design, but it’s far from outdated; rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with Balmain amenities that add a touch of luxury. The scent of the toiletries is subtle yet refreshing. Most impressively, every staff member I encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful—going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s an experience worth repeating.

The design captures authentic Beijing heritage with elegant classical touches throughout. My room was peaceful, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable—the bedding made for a restful sleep. The staff were exceptionally warm and helpful; they upgraded me to a larger room without hesitation and granted an extended check-out time. Everything about this stay felt personal and thoughtful. I especially loved the 24-hour service in the lobby offering warm pear soup and goji-red date tea—ideal for those chilly Beijing nights. Late-night snacks included wontons and a soothing bedtime congee; when wontons ran out one evening, they even prepared various flavored tangyuan as a thoughtful replacement. The fitness center had modern equipment and felt well-maintained. There’s also a laundry and dryer available, which can be monitored via the room TV—though we didn’t use it this time, knowing it’s there added peace of mind.
