C&D Hotel Xiamen

This was my second stay at this hotel, and the experience was just as excellent as the first time. During New Year's period, the hotel was lively with plenty of family-friendly activities that kept the kids entertained. The guest manager, Xiao Luo, went above and beyond—she reached out before check-in to confirm details and checked in regularly during our stay to ensure everything was satisfactory. On checkout day, she even arranged a late departure without hassle, which was incredibly thoughtful. The room itself was spotless and comfortable, with soft bedding that made for a restful night’s sleep. The housekeeping staff were thorough and attentive, leaving no corner untouched. Every team member we interacted with showed genuine warmth and professionalism. From start to finish, the service felt personal and caring. It’s a perfect choice for families or anyone looking for a welcoming, well-run hotel. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.

Check-in was a bit stressful at first, but the on-duty manager handled everything with great empathy and professionalism. After a calm conversation, the issue was resolved smoothly—and they even surprised me with afternoon tea, evening entertainment, and a bottle of wine. The next day’s airport transfer was excellent too; driver Andy was friendly, courteous, and helped carry my luggage without being asked. We had a pleasant chat throughout the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: the afternoon tea selection was limited, and the fruit—especially the watermelon—wasn’t very fresh. Dinner options were also quite narrow. The room stayed chilly despite running the heater all night—temperature barely reached 15°C, so adding a heating option would be helpful. Also, breakfast was missing some items, and they weren’t replenished promptly. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The staff responded quickly to feedback, and the views from the room were stunning—especially sunrise in the morning. One small disappointment: no capsule or instant coffee available, which is common even in budget hotels. Adding that would make the stay much more convenient for guests who rely on coffee.

Hotel Indigo Xiamen Harbour

This stay completely exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious and flooded with natural light—waking up to the morning sun felt incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. Janice, the staff member who assisted with check-in, was warm, professional, and incredibly efficient—no long queues or delays. Dinner at the fourth-floor riverside restaurant was a highlight: the ambiance was serene and romantic, with breathtaking views of the city lights across the water. The cuisine was authentic Fujian-style, beautifully prepared and full of flavor—every dish stood out. Breakfast was equally impressive, offering a wide variety of options from local favorites to international choices. The entire property felt quiet and well-maintained, creating a perfect retreat for relaxation. Whether it’s for a weekend getaway with friends or a peaceful escape, this hotel delivers comfort, charm, and excellent value. I’ll definitely be back.

Marco Polo Xiamen

Staying at Marco Polo Xiamen was an absolute delight from start to finish. The value for money is outstanding—this level of luxury and service for the price is truly impressive. Check-in was smooth and friendly, with staff who were attentive, efficient, and always smiling. I especially appreciated Wendy—her professionalism and attention to detail made a big difference. The room itself was spotless, well-appointed, and fully equipped with essentials like a fridge, kettle, and hairdryer. Everything felt clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. After a full day exploring Gulangyu Island, I didn’t even want to leave the hotel—I just wanted to stay longer. This experience exceeded all expectations. The lobby manager was exceptional—prompt, helpful, and made sure all my questions were answered quickly and efficiently. The hotel is beautifully situated right in the middle of a park, which made morning runs absolutely delightful. I was amazed by how passionate locals are about jogging—there were people everywhere, creating such an energetic vibe. Just behind the hotel is a charming pigeon plaza where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. My lake-view room had an incredible panorama—every time I opened the curtains, it felt like nature was right outside my window. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this place offers a perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. Highly recommended!

Swiss Grand Xiamen

My stay at Swiss Grand Xiamen was truly exceptional. The room service stood out—especially the dedication and attentiveness of Ms. Geng Hongyan, the guest services supervisor. She went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and well-being, making us feel genuinely valued. The only minor concern was the deposit requirement: a RMB 1,000 refundable deposit was requested by the hotel, which is higher than the room rate itself, plus an additional payment through the booking platform. While this did feel a bit steep upfront, it’s worth noting that the overall experience far outweighs this small inconvenience. From the elegant rooms and thoughtful amenities to the professional yet warm staff, every detail reflects high standards. If you’re looking for a luxurious and personalized stay in Xiamen, this hotel delivers. I’d absolutely return and recommend it without hesitation.

I highly recommend checking out the fitness center: top-notch equipment, a sauna, and a stunning infinity pool that makes working out feel like a luxury. Kempinski Hotel Xiamen

I started with a king-size room and later switched to a twin-bed room. Honestly, I found the king-size room had a more spacious and open layout—much more comfortable overall. The twin room was still quite large, but felt slightly cramped in comparison, especially the bathroom area. It also seemed less well-maintained—the tiles had water stains, and there was a faint odor coming from the drain. That said, cleanliness across the room was still good, and the beds were nicely soft with high-quality linens that made for a very restful night’s sleep. If the twin room’s maintenance could be improved—especially around the bathroom—the experience would be even better. Overall, the king-size room stood out as the clear winner in terms of comfort and space, making it a great choice for travelers who value a relaxed, airy feel.

This is an absolutely outstanding five-star hotel experience! The service was exceptional—staff were warm, attentive, and highly professional from check-in to check-out. Breakfast and dinner were both impressive: abundant, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. The room view was breathtaking, with stunning city or garden scenery that made every moment feel special. What truly stood out was how well the little details were handled—everything from the welcome amenities to the quiet attention to comfort made the stay unforgettable. I especially want to highlight Assistant Manager Xiao Wu and Xiao Chen—they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and went the extra mile to make guests feel valued. This hotel delivers on every level: location, comfort, dining, and hospitality. A perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers. I’ll definitely be back.
