After New Year’s, I was upgraded to a lake-view room, which came with welcome fruit and a complimentary coffee voucher—such a thoughtful touch that made me feel right at home. The breakfast spread was outstanding: diverse, fresh, and delicious. Every detail, from the ambiance to the service, felt curated for comfort and convenience. If I ever return to Xiamen, this will be my first choice. A truly memorable experience with excellent value.

Check-in was a bit stressful at first, but the on-duty manager handled everything with great empathy and professionalism. After a calm conversation, the issue was resolved smoothly—and they even surprised me with afternoon tea, evening entertainment, and a bottle of wine. The next day’s airport transfer was excellent too; driver Andy was friendly, courteous, and helped carry my luggage without being asked. We had a pleasant chat throughout the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: the afternoon tea selection was limited, and the fruit—especially the watermelon—wasn’t very fresh. Dinner options were also quite narrow. The room stayed chilly despite running the heater all night—temperature barely reached 15°C, so adding a heating option would be helpful. Also, breakfast was missing some items, and they weren’t replenished promptly. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The staff responded quickly to feedback, and the views from the room were stunning—especially sunrise in the morning. One small disappointment: no capsule or instant coffee available, which is common even in budget hotels. Adding that would make the stay much more convenient for guests who rely on coffee.

I was especially impressed by the pool facilities—both indoor and outdoor options are available, and the indoor pool has a perfect water temperature. I swam four times during my three-night stay, and it was such a relaxing experience. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas is excellent, and the staff are attentive and friendly. Located in a vibrant area with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, it’s also just steps away from a beautiful lakeside park—ideal for morning walks or a quick workout. The gym and pool are open late, which is great for travelers with varied schedules. Overall, this was an outstanding stay with fantastic value. I’ll definitely return.

Staying at Courtyard by Marriott Xiamen Haicang was an absolute delight. The sea view from the room is breathtaking—wide open with no obstructions, making every morning and evening truly special. The room was immaculate, spotlessly clean, and the bedding felt luxurious. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure we had a great stay. One of the biggest perks? Access to the restaurant and pool facilities shared with the Marriott property—top-notch amenities without having to go far. Everything was well-maintained, from the decor to the service. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance between comfort, convenience, and value. Staying here for three nights in a business room was an absolute pleasure. The room was spotless, well-organized, and offered just the right amount of space—comfortable without feeling cramped. The bed was incredibly cozy, making it easy to get a restful night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay, and the housekeeping team really went the extra mile; every evening, the room felt freshly tidied with thoughtful little touches. It's about a 10–15 minute walk to Haicang Bay Park Metro Station, which is manageable, especially since the route is quiet and safe. Overall, this hotel delivers excellent value, great comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend it and would stay again.

Holiday Inn Xiagu Wharf Sea World Branch

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Xiagu Wharf Sea World Branch in Xiamen and couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. The room was spotlessly clean, with excellent hygiene standards that made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout my stay. One of the biggest perks? Parking right beneath the hotel—super convenient, especially if you're arriving by car. I also want to give a special shout-out to the front desk staff, Xiao Min and Xiu Xiu—their hospitality was outstanding. They were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond. I accidentally left my tablet behind after check-out, and just minutes later, I received a call from the hotel alerting me about it. That kind of proactive service is rare and truly appreciated. It’s clear they care about their guests’ experience. This hotel offers great value for money, and I’ll definitely return next time I visit Xiamen. Absolutely worth every penny! The price is incredibly affordable, and the atmosphere is so peaceful and inviting—way beyond what I expected. The room is spacious and bright, with a clean, modern feel that makes you want to just relax. High-speed Wi-Fi works flawlessly, perfect for streaming or working remotely. The staff, especially front desk agent Xiao Huang, went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. He even gave me a local-friendly recommendation on where to catch the best sea views nearby. Location-wise, it's close to Songyu Pier and Dashan Mountain Park, making it easy to explore on foot or by public transit. Whether you're here for a quiet getaway or a short business trip, this place hits all the right notes. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Xiamen.

JI Hotel (Xiamen Haicang District Government)

Staying at JI Hotel (Xiamen Haicang District Government) was an absolute delight—exceeded all expectations in both service and cleanliness. Check-in was quick and smooth, with friendly staff who went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. They even upgraded us to a better room and offered two bottles of mineral water—such thoughtful touches! The breakfast included freshly made noodles, not too many options but very well-prepared and delicious. Perfect for a business trip or family visit. Located just steps away from Haicang District Government, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring the area via public transit. Great value, excellent comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Xiamen—highly recommend this gem!
