Unfortunately, the other two benefits didn’t materialize: the drink package was reportedly canceled, and staff said water was available anytime; as for the map, it was taken by another guest before I could get it. The location is easy to find—just turn left about 50 meters past the main entrance of Zengcuo'an Village—but the property does show its age in some areas. After arrival, we waited quite a while for check-in because of understaffing, and the room wasn’t cleaned yet—so the first impression wasn’t great. When I asked the front desk about nearby attractions, they bluntly said 'everything here is a tourist trap,' which made me feel like I’d been misled. Over the next couple of days, I explored the area and found it’s very similar to other trendy food streets across China—no real uniqueness or authentic charm. Drinks like fruit tea were priced at around $1.20 per cup, and popular snacks like the so-called 'viral' candied sugar were shockingly expensive. As someone from the 80s generation with traditional values, I couldn’t justify such prices. That said, I do agree with what the front desk staff said—this area isn’t worth much. However, nearby spots like the Huan Dao Road and Tianquan Trail are truly beautiful. From elevated viewpoints, the ocean views are breathtaking and peaceful. If you're a younger traveler just looking to snap a few photos for social media, half an hour here is more than enough. In reality, the real experience comes from heading straight to the seaside—it’s far more relaxing and rewarding.
