Even though it was a bit chilly during our stay, the hotel had already turned on the heating early in the morning—such a thoughtful touch! Our concierge kindly reached out the day before to confirm whether we preferred breakfast delivered to our room or enjoyed it in the dining area, and everything arrived right on time. The service was exceptional throughout. Whether you're here for business travel or family fun, this place fits both perfectly. I asked the staff about local recommendations, and they shared insider tips on where to eat, what to explore, and how to make the most of your trip—all personalized and genuinely helpful. I’ve heard that each season brings a different kind of beauty to the property, making it a destination worth revisiting no matter the time of year. The location is fantastic—walking distance to great restaurants, local markets, and shopping areas, plus it's just a short metro ride from the city center. The room was immaculate, fresh-smelling, and incredibly comfortable—the bed felt like sleeping on clouds. Soundproofing is excellent, so I had a peaceful, uninterrupted night’s sleep. The front desk staff, Xia Yuhong and Yuan Xiaoxian, were warm, efficient, and genuinely helpful. They greeted me with a hot drink upon check-in and even took time to recommend local attractions and walking routes tailored to my interests. Breakfast was a highlight—wide variety of both Western and Chinese options, all freshly prepared and delicious. Small touches like ample charging outlets by the bed and a well-designed wet/dry bathroom made everything feel thoughtfully done. Every detail screams quality and value. This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious, bright, and impeccably clean—every corner looked freshly cleaned. The housekeeping staff went above and beyond—spotless everywhere, even in the smallest details. Front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and always smiling. Location-wise, it’s perfect: close to dining, shopping, and public transit. I didn’t hear any noise from outside or neighboring rooms—great sound insulation. The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. The smart room system made everything seamless—adjusting lights and curtains with one tap, while the shower delivered strong, consistent water flow. Bathroom amenities were high-quality and thoughtfully chosen. Breakfast offered a great mix of Western and local flavors, and the late-night snack option was a pleasant surprise. Their signature local rice noodles were authentic and delicious, and the coffee? Top-notch. I was also impressed by the excellent soundproofing—even though the room is on the ground floor, closing the door completely blocked out any lobby noise. They also offered a complimentary tea and snack station with freshly brewed coffee, signature flower cakes, and authentic Yunnan pastries like egg yolk tarts—each bite was delicious. When I mentioned a minor issue with my initial room, they responded immediately by upgrading me to a larger, sunlit room with excellent space and a smart wet/dry separation—truly a game-changer. Breakfast was varied and tasty, and the location couldn’t be better—just steps away from Green Lake Park, making it easy to explore on foot. I stayed here with friends for New Year’s Eve, and the atmosphere was perfect. I’d definitely come back again. We stopped by Venus International Hotel in Kunming on our way back from Shangri-La to Guizhou on October 6th, and it turned out to be a perfect pit stop. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. Parking was easy and convenient, which is always a plus when traveling by car. The hotel is just a short walk from the metro station, making public transit super accessible. Plus, it's located in a vibrant commercial area with tons of restaurants nearby—dining options are endless, whether you're craving local flavors or something more familiar.
